Simply excellent! – Accutension Stetho Review

As an American consumer my limited experience with completely China-based products has mostly been a disappointment. My guess is most of it stems from cultural and language barriers. Their instructions are often inscrutable and products are of questionable quality. But Accutension Stetho and its associated app are surprisingly wonderful exception. Both the app and the product work well. The app did crash on me the first time I tried to use it on my iPad Air 2 but worked stably after reopening it. One must bear in mind that the app is compatible but isn't optimized for the iPad's larger screen. I had to use the iPad Air 2 in order to record the blood pressure monitor readings for the Withings app on my iPhone 6 that was wirelessly connected via Bluetooth to the Withings Blood pressure monitor as I couldn't use both the Withings app and the Accutension Stetho app on the iPhone 6 at the same time. The written instructions in the app do have a few spelling errors (ignorable) and the writing style seems to be a little too technical for the average American consumer with short attention span. However, the instruction video in How to section makes most things fairly clear. Despite seeing the instruction video I had to google to find out what Korotkoff sound meant. Once I knew what those sounds were I could easily identify them in the graph. The graph of the Korotkoff sounds are very distinctive; hence, one can have both visual and auditory confirmation of blood pressure monitor readings. Overall, the app is off to a great start and with a little more polish, it should deliver on its full potential. The bottomline is the app is stable and the product works--you can buy it without fear of getting a lemon.
