Lovely – Spider 2 - GameClub Review

I loved the first spider, and still do. This sequel ought to be a joy and in many ways it is. The art is lovely and the playing field is much larger. There are more types of bugs to eat, some that fight back. And you get to hunt at night or in the rain and get a different set of bugs to trap. The story is really just suggested by the things you see while hunting, and there are lots of nooks tucked away for you to find. All this is very good. But the moon phase idea tho at the core of the game was a mistake. I think most players would like to be able to play through the whole game, finding all the insects, solving all the puzzles on their own schedule: no waiting on the moon. It really is no fun after a while. This is a shame 'cause there is so much to like
