Good idea, needs work – Wargame: Korsun 1944 Review

Its nice to play a strategy war simulator that isn't another 'pay-to-play' scam, but this game feels more like a beta than a fully developed title. Theres no 'go back to the menu' option, so once you start a game you either have to have to finish it or exit the app long enough for it to reset on its own. If that's not the case, the game sure as hell doesn't let me know what I'm supposed to do. In fact, there's no tutorial at all, nor is there any explanation whatsoever explaining the gameplay mechanics (which I assume are more complex than just outnumbering the enemy and tapping on their armies until they disappear). One of the most confusing features of the game is the fact that I always lose. Even if I have multiple army groups surrounding my enemy's last 3 shattered divisions, a random screen pops up right before I deliver my final blow, saying I was defeated. This happens every time, and its never explained. What gives? How can the army that's been advancing in overwhelming strength the whole game lose to a broken enemy RIGHT before a victory?
