Money pit – Navionics® Boating Review

I bought the Lakes East Navionics and liked it. Then it was revised and slowed down to the point I couldn't use it while running. I tried to find out how to use it again and was told by Navionics a it is not supported and I could download the new APP free. I did so and found out to get detailed lake maps you have to buy it. I'm ok with that but then it is only good for one year. What happens then? I don't trust Navionics and will not purchase from them for an APP. I have an iPhone 5S.
