Starts good then goes downhill – Dragon Soul Review

I'll start with the positives. The dragon designs are pretty neat, and almost all can be obtained just by using coins and then breeding to get the dual element dragons. The battle mechanics are clever and easy to use, and all-in-all the gameplay is pretty easy to get used to. Simple, but effective. However, the farther you get, the less there is to do. By level 60, there's nothing left but battles that your dragons will probably never be strong enough for. The currency is very unbalanced; hardly anything uses coins, while you require so many more souls or gems to do required tasks that it soon becomes tedious farming them. Further, the game's pretty obviously a cash grab; a sale on gems that costs $99? Seriously? The ad pops up almost every time you open the game, and is frankly really annoying. In short... Fun at first, but not worth the time if you want something fulfilling. I'll probably uninstall if they don't add new content soon, to be honest; all that I can do at level 66 is farm items required to progress. And where's the fun in that?
