Change of policy? – Ease into 5K: run walk interval training program Review

I had a full version if this app on my iPhone 4. Now this "free" iphone6 version requires upgrading to a subscription. Liked the app but not happy about this switch. Also, have never been able to figure out how it calculates feet and distance. It doesn't at all relate to what's on treadmill screen.
