Fun Single Player Game – Elder Sign: Omens HD Review

Pick an Old One to battle, gather your team of investigators and go at it! It’s pretty easy to play, with rich in-game help. There are some differences from the board game, but they are pretty minor. The investigators are limited until you unlock or buy them, but it’s enough to have a good game. Obviously, some combinations of investigators are better than others; but again, that contributes to the fun. Be aware this game is all about the dice rolls. Crappy rolls will beat the best team, and vice versa. I’m still terrible at it, but I found: You need to take out effects like monster generation and dice locks ASAP, or it will add up fast. Go for the Elder Signs whenever possible. Use the investigator’s abilities and inventory items early and often, especially clues. More dice is better.
