Finally a good portable conquest game! – Fortress Conquest Review

If you like war games and simulations you'll love this one. I already have Castle Risk, but am a sucker for a good stratgy game, and Fortress Conquest fits the bill. I really like the portability -- and the amount of customisation possible -- from the number of players to the cards and territories you start with. This was one of those easy to learn, tough to master games that keeps you guessing, with enough cards and options to keep you on your toes. Recommend for anyone who likes a challenge and knows their history! A few tips to get your started -- you can really impact the difficulty (and therefore the length and enjoyability of the game) with your initial settings. If you need a quick game, choosing easier difficulty and more strategic opening positions and strongholds will work. If you need more of a challenge, then you can ramp up the difficulty and even start out in a poor position where you'll really need great strategy to work your way out. Multiplayer worked great on the iPad and the graphics made everything clear -- it was easy to keep track of which armys were whose and what territories everyone held each turn. I love Risk but it isn't exactly portable -- FC is perfect for on the go conquering!
