Worthy of the name conquest – Fortress Conquest Review

When you look for a game like this, you have to review it accordingly; you have to enjoy war-base simulation that requires strategy and patience. If you enjoy the idea of clever plotting, strategic choice, and eventual victory or defeat of an empire, then you have found the game to capture your interest. With a selection of six historical European empires, it grants the player the opportunity to seize a moment of history and become the cause and effect of a battle’s outcome. Every choice can be detrimental to the eventual outcome of victory or defeat. The choices that a player makes are placed around the efficient use of tactical cards, intelligent placement of armies, proper defenses for a player’s fortress, and proper risk-analysis. Each of these choices play a vital role toward how successful a player will be in this game. The selection of 16 different tactical cards open up several choices of play style, allowing technique to be honed around personal preference. Granted, luck will play its part in this game, as it does in all games, there is a large reliance on strategy to truly find a favorable outcome. This game has multiple play styles: Single player, Multiplayer, and Pass ‘n’ Play, in addition to 3 AI difficulties that allow players to gradually improve and become more skilled opponents. If you are looking for a game that you can get absorbed into playing, experience competition, and continuously improve, then you have found it. This game will capture your interest, broaden your horizons on strategy, and give you a new taste on the idea of victory. If you love strategy-themed games, this will be right up your alley.
