FOR ALL YOUR OJISAN NEEDS~ – Forbidden Romance:Pub Encounter Review

I was honestly not expecting D3P to release this game in English (due to the fact that the guys are much older than most depicted in English otome games) but I am SO happy they did! After seeing a few CGs floating around Tumblr I was hoping it would get translated. As a gal who is hitting their mid-twenties, I have become slightly bored with the high school/college fare we've mostly been getting these days when it comes to otome games in English. That's not to say that I am not grateful for it, as I am grateful for any English translated games, but I have been craving more... variety. Lately, with the trend of younger guys being released all at once, it's nice to see an entire cast of older men. The men in this particular game range from 41 to 60 (not implicitly stated on their profiles, but is mentioned in-game), while the MC seems to be in her mid twenties to early thirties (her age is never confirmed as far as I have seen). Clearly, this game is not meant to appeal to everyone. However, the nice thing is that from the two characters that have been released so far, the age gap is not overtly played upon. There is a mention here and there, but it is never depicted as bizarre or seen as a major obstacle. The romance seems to flow naturally, which is quite nice. The main routes are, however, only 8 chapters in length (not including the end, either Super Happy or Happy), which is quite short compared to D3P's other games. Since the price is still $3.99 that might seem expensive to some, but I honestly don't see a problem. The stories have a good flow, and there is variety in the plots. The romance doesn't really seem as if it's coming out of left field or that it is rushed. The CGs are really nice, and quite steamy, if you catch my drift. ;) Basically, I think it's fair price to pay. If you're into the 'older' types, or are seeking something different, I think this is a game to try. If anything, do try reading the free chapter that accompanies each guy. I think it is worth at least a quick read.
