- What is Pub Encounter?
It's a romance game where you can fall in love with one of several middle-aged men. All of them are experienced in life and have their own stories to tell. They may not be young, but they can love as deeply and passionately as anyone. It's been so popular in Japan that there are even drama CDs about the characters!

After a rough day at work, you decide to walk a different way home to try and improve your mood. Walking down an unfamiliar street, you stumble across a bar named Audire that seems like it has a nice atmosphere. Unsure of what to expect, you open the door and find a group of high-class older men. What awaits you at Audire?
- Who are the characters?
Yuze Ryunosuke: Focuses on his job a little too seriously. Because of certain events in his past, he's uncomfortable around women.
Arashiro Mamoru: Always in a good mood, but has a mysterious air to him. He's a gentleman who isn't afraid to go on the offensive to get what he wants.
Kodama Hideaki: Charming, but a bit of an airhead. If there's a woman around, he naturally winds up next to her. More cunning than he looks.
Hodo Yorihisa: A seemingly gentle man who has a way with words. Treats life like a game.
Toyoizumi Soichiro: A calm gentleman who's good at listening. Normally he's just an observer, but once you get to know him...

Unexpected but Amazing

I downloaded this app on a whim, wanting a break from the standard Otome games with much younger guys, and for curiosity, but I never expected how easily hooked I would get. It is pay to play, where you need to buy the whole story to read it, but it’s honestly worth it. All the characters have depth and drama (definitely the latter) and the love scenes are quite spicy...definitely more mature than all the games I’ve played. I do warn that Mamoru’s route can be seen as problematic due to his “seduction” style and personality, but it is the steamiest out of the 5 characters. There are some grammatical errors but despite that, I recommend this if you want a romance with an older (sometimes WAY older) guy.

The men are amazing, the stories are amazing. I can’t help but love these. Older mature men who are less problematic than any other otome game. Plus the stories are filled with drama. But it’s the stories, not the men that are dramatic. It’s nice and fresh for lovers of mature men.

It's a bit different because it's usually young guys but it's kinda cool. I'm curious about what will happen with the bar owner though. He's super old!

I was honestly not expecting D3P to release this game in English (due to the fact that the guys are much older than most depicted in English otome games) but I am SO happy they did! After seeing a few CGs floating around Tumblr I was hoping it would get translated. As a gal who is hitting their mid-twenties, I have become slightly bored with the high school/college fare we've mostly been getting these days when it comes to otome games in English. That's not to say that I am not grateful for it, as I am grateful for any English translated games, but I have been craving more... variety. Lately, with the trend of younger guys being released all at once, it's nice to see an entire cast of older men. The men in this particular game range from 41 to 60 (not implicitly stated on their profiles, but is mentioned in-game), while the MC seems to be in her mid twenties to early thirties (her age is never confirmed as far as I have seen). Clearly, this game is not meant to appeal to everyone. However, the nice thing is that from the two characters that have been released so far, the age gap is not overtly played upon. There is a mention here and there, but it is never depicted as bizarre or seen as a major obstacle. The romance seems to flow naturally, which is quite nice. The main routes are, however, only 8 chapters in length (not including the end, either Super Happy or Happy), which is quite short compared to D3P's other games. Since the price is still $3.99 that might seem expensive to some, but I honestly don't see a problem. The stories have a good flow, and there is variety in the plots. The romance doesn't really seem as if it's coming out of left field or that it is rushed. The CGs are really nice, and quite steamy, if you catch my drift. ;) Basically, I think it's fair price to pay. If you're into the 'older' types, or are seeking something different, I think this is a game to try. If anything, do try reading the free chapter that accompanies each guy. I think it is worth at least a quick read.

If I were to start with the compliments, this review would be a book. What like the most are the older men, the mix of comedy, action, drama, and sex. Your games are great for more mature gamers. Please keep up the great work. Please give us more games????❤️???
Incompatible in iOS 8

I downloaded it before updating and played through the prologue, hoping to play it after I updated. Unfortunately, the app crashes as soon as you open it in iOS 8. Please fix this!
