Ranges from very easy to very challenging – Marmot Garden Review

This is one of those games that is simple enough for a small kid to learn quickly, but can get very challenging at the upper levels. You need to think several steps ahead and learn certain attributes of the rock placement over time. For example, after playing several times, you learn that it is logically impossible for the marmot to start in certain locations due to rock placement, which helps narrow down your options. The marmot is cute and appealing which makes the game nice to relax with... However, I do have some constructive criticism... When you don't get the puzzle right the first time the game says "FAILED!" and the marmot gets wildly depressed amidst a dramatic thunderstorm. This is very silly to adults but could be discouraging for kids. Many folks would respond and relate better to a more positive "well you're not going to give up after one try, are you? Try again!" If we fail at something, we're not going to give up for good! That is not a healthy attitude. This little marmot needs some therapy to help him handle the stressful farming life. :)
