Easily open and extract your zip files and archives and store them inside the app.
Zip Viewer lets you open zip file attachments from your emails, Safari downloads or other applications that offer a share/'open in' feature. (Also password protected zip files.)
Import zip files from iCloud Drive or other cloud providers such as Dropbox or Box (app needs to be installed on the device) directly from Zip Viewer.
Zip files will be automatically extracted and stored in the application documents directory.
You can drill down through the folder structure within the zip file. Files can be viewed by the build-in file previewer which supports file formats such as:
- iWork documents
- Microsoft Office documents (Office ‘97 and newer)
- Rich Text Format (RTF) documents
- PDF files
- Images
- Public text files
- Audio file (playback)
- Movie files (playback)
Share extracted files via email, Twitter, Facebook - Pass them through to other applications that support the file format (e.g. for editing) or printed via AirPrint. (functionality is depending on your device configuration)
The extracted files can be removed manually. The complete folder/file structure can be downloaded via iTunes file exchange too.
Use Zip Viewer alongside with Zip to Mail to get the full experience of viewing and creating zip archives. Zip to Mail is also available for free on the App Store.

I got this zip app for my iPad after a very frustrating experience trying out a few other Zip apps. This one was very easy to use.
Too many ads and hangs too often to be worth paying for

In just trying out the product, it froze while loading, placed full page ads for video games up incessantly and froze again while I was trying to provide a rating. If you want someone to find value in your app, perhaps you should focus on allowing them time to use it versus dumping ads all over the screen after every five folder selections or file viewings. When it works, it seems to be worth free as a viewer but I doubt that it’s worth the price of the ‘pro’ version even if that does come with what should be price you pay to stop the ads.

I’ve been using this app to unzip my files for a long time now. It does unzip them, but it is super inconvenient. I have ended up with quite a few zip files that I would like to save into my cloud account to clear the space on my phone and there isn’t a way to even select a zip file and move it at once, you must choose each FILE individually to move to the cloud! You apparently can move them faster if you connect to a computer and iTunes, but I’ve been a wireless user for such a long time.. who connects to iTunes with a cable anymore? I know I haven’t in years. So I’ve got so many files that are bogging down my phone and I have to either find them and re-download them (which isn’t even possible for many of them as they were limited time downloads and I cannot locate them) or I have to move them one file at a time, and some of these zip files have hundreds of individual files in them. I have since found another unzip app that I use and I’m able to select the actual zip file - AND more than one at a time and click “share” and move them to my cloud drive. It’s really unfortunate that I can’t do that with this app because it’s now taking up more room than any other app on my phone and I have to decide whether to just forget about the files there or move each file individually which would take me forever! I have spent the past two days trying to get this done. No, I’m not being stubborn about the computer, I don’t have access to one at this time. I would go on and do it that way if I did. It’s just become such a headache and I really do wish I’d never gotten this app. I have never written a negative or low star review, but I’m hoping that this will help someone else and save them time. I’m not going to mention the name of the app that DOES allow you to move multiple zip files at once, but they have a free version as well, so please spend a few minutes and try other unzip apps before you download a bunch of apps or buy a pro version! If, by chance, you don’t care about saving the files for later use and just want to unzip, this will do the job. While all free versions I’ve tried do have ads, this one pops up an add every time you move a file, so it is quite time consuming, while the other app I am now using only pops up with after a few times of moving an individual file to another app or location. You’ll be glad you took the time to check out others because it will save you loads of time. I wish I’d known this before I began using it. I’m very happy with the other app I have been using and I bought the pro version of it. I hope the developer of this app will make this option available, but I don’t anticipate that they will. It took over a month for me to get them to answer and tell me how to move the files. I hope this review will save someone else the time and grief that I’ve been dealing with because of this app!
