Recently onward I'm not able to use Zangi without VPN. Earlier it's was working well now not working in gulf country

Uses less data and unlike viber does not eat a lot of ram... if you have a viber on an old iphone you know what I mean. Totally happy. Hope they will not screw it up.

Bought into whole "messenger that uses the least data for voice calls" hype, article written by Zangi themselves, as i discovered later. They claim to use only 216kb per minute for calls. That's a blatant lie. downloaded to try, made a few test voice calls - no video, no pictures - according to their own app's log history, 10 SECONDS took 307kb of data. Moreover, when calling another zangi for free, the call does not go through (my husband is literally sitting next to me with his phone out while i'm calling him) forcing u to pay through using "zangi out". Deleting.

I downloaded Zangi on the advice of my son who works on a cruise ship and was looking for a way to keep in touch while using very little data. It worked great for one night. Since then, it’s been awful. I guess I made the mistake of downloading it to my IPad Pro the day after I downloaded it to my iPhone. It required me to set up my account on the IPad as if my account didn’t already exist through my phone. The next morning, I couldn’t access my account through my phone or my iPad!! It kept telling me that I had tried the wrong “verification code” too many times and I would now have to wait another 24 hours before trying again!!! I looked all over their website for help, with no success. I even emailed them about my problem, but have not received any reply whatsoever. This evening, I was able to access the account on my iPad at last, but when I tried to access it through my phone, it wanted me to setup my account like new again and then I got the same message about not using the right verification code and needing to wait 24 hours. When I tried to go back into my iPad app (which I never signed out of), I could no longer access it either. And where is the tech support? How do you sign in once you’ve created an account? I’ve had enough! I’m looking elsewhere.

So far I love this app. I use it to talk to my fiancé in the Philippines and we constantly deal with dropped calls when using WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Viber but when we use Zangi we almost never get dropped calls. Sometimes we get reconnects but it never drops. This app is a must for international communication to counties that have poor connections due to bad data throttling polices like Philippines does.

Zangi turned up to be a pretty neat app after all. I was somewhat skeptical at the beginning but after using it for a while and in certain regions the connection has been very very good.

Best Low Data Video App

This app is a must have for international video chatting where data is unreliable, expensive, or throttled. The low data setting may limit the quality, but only in order to save on data. Other apps used 600 mb per call, I can have five or six hours of calling with Zangi. This app is a Godsend and I am so grateful to the developers. I get to see the face and smile of my friend in South Africa every day. And the full speed video chat is excellent, also.
