Ys Chronicles Book 1 x10 stars

Sasy23

Love this game is very addictive and fun to play. I have a little problem the controls are very difficult and I can't battle the monsters very well. Please make a D-pad(attack button) like the other games. The rest is wow. Looking forward to seeing the sequel. Thanks for the attention.

Flawed by a serious crash

northpaul

Crashes in the demon corridor on floor 11 of the tower. I can't continue because of it and therefore can't finish the game. Very disappointed because this would otherwise be a five star game

Very good.

This is a very good port. Some aspects remain a little rough, like that enormous unskippable cinema at the beginning -- I love the cinema and it takes me back, but this is a mobile game; can't have loooong unskippable videos. Also, the fonts are pixelated and yet still antialiased -- would've been better to swap in a pixel font because those little half-value pixels just make the text harder to read in this case. But overall this feels great to play; best of all Dot.Emu titles I've tried. Most of the others are hard to control, but this one is not. I love that THREE music sets are included in the menu. I'll be playing this for a while.

Game is glitch

Cuatrerox

I was about to get to finalize the first stage of the tower and bam, every time I go out from the room where you find Raba the second time, the game crashes, every time, unplayable from here.

I'm enjoying it.

This game is pretty awesome. The story is great, the graphics are very good, the gameplay is easy and other than the five dollars I spent initially to get the game, I have not been propositioned for more money so far.

Surprisingly Amazing

Samurai0ninja

I never played the Y's series but after playing for 20 hours I can honestly say that it's iOS port is truly worth the money I spent. It's such a classic game that I don't want to put it down. The musical scores make it 100X more amazing listening through my studio headphones. You will not be disappointed in this game if you like games like Chrono Cross and the like. Not saying it is exactly like them but a beautiful representation of how good an iOS port can be. Zenonia has nothing on this game ?.

Great Game!

Zed Armright

This game is awesome. The combat and controls take a little getting used to, but you pick it up over time. Japanese RPGs are really the way to go!

Force quit

yzhao0527

The game quits every time I pass a door in the evil's corridor. Anyone experiencing the same?

Not worth the buy too much bugs

Jaycr79

Is really a good game but when you are stuck cause there's a defect on the game is not worth buying it if you can't play it there's goes 5 dollars wasted they need to fix all the bugs before the put it in the market

Sink or swim in this Zelda like game.

CAP198462

Immersion: combat, there is a story but the gist of it is bad thing happened, go kill monsters. The game has several musical options, but action related sounds are slim. Combat is where immersion comes from. The player runs into the monster to deal damage, the angle at which player and monster meet determines damage dealt and taken. monster death animations are fitting, and damage reactions work equally. 7/15 Difficulty:difficulty is created by monster speed, slower monsters are easier to get around the defenses of than faster. Additionally, the game will at times disable your regenerating health, without warning. difficulty is ad just able, with no explanation of what the options adjust though. Players should spend some time in the options menu, as options here can impact difficulty.6/15 Lasting appeal: difficult to say, but it is a game worth keeping on the iOS device for the occasional bout,.Playing until story end, or returning afterward, not likely. 6/15 Overall: the game is either by design or accident in the camp of "sink or swim games," that c toss the player into the game world without much explanation. the lack of explanation of menu options, and a expectation that the player will explore menus and grind , is a slight against it, what does chronicles mode add that original mode does not have? know that before you make the purchase, and expect challenge and the player is in for a classic legend of Zelda like experience . 6/15
