German television at your pace

First of all, I really do like this app a lot. In the beginning, I thought it would be better to have streaming German television and then I realized that a lot of times I want to be able to record programming so that I can watch it when it's most convenient. This is that app. The only complaint that I have is that streaming sometimes can be problematic and I wish that they had a server here in the United States. It's stopping and starting in the beginning is sometimes really annoying when it lasts for several minutes or so. Once everything's going, then it works great. Anyway, you really can't go wrong for €10 a month paid through PayPal and it allows you to even watch on Apple TV which I think is a real boon so that you don't have to worry about watching it on other devices or trying to use Apple airplay. Oh did I say there are 44 channels available? Arte is my favorite. :-)

This app downloads popular American movies and TV shows in German. I started out as a free member, but have since upgraded to the paid version. The best part is there are no American subtitles which allows the mind to become "hardwired" to hearing the language. They are the same movies that broadcast on your favorite cable network.

Being from Germany it is very difficult for me to hear my language here and watching movies in my language is even harder. YouTV has made it possible to stay on top of my shows as well as watch movies. It's like a little escape for me to be able to watch and listen to my German TV. So thankful!

I was an exchange student to Germany my senior year in High School and still stay connected to my host family. This app will help me stay connected to the country and language like no other. Wow. This is incredible. It does what it says. Records the shows and you watch them. I recommend the 3rd price level which allows you to keep your recordings in the cloud for 300 days instead of just 3 days for the second price level. Awesome!!!!

I grew up here in the US so most of my TV viewing was here. But when we would visit our Grandparents in Germany I got hooked on German TV. I particularly enjoyed "Spiel ohne Grenze " and this gives me a Chance to stay current with what is happening in Germany.

Can’t watch any shows anymore.

I used to love this app and I even have the $5.99 subscription. I use this app every single day to watch my shows from home. Now all of a sudden it won’t let me play any shows anymore. Right now I’m paying for nothing basically.
