Layer disappointment

Finally paid for the app and now I cannot work with the layers the way I could with the free version. Sure it has the commercials which are annoying but I can’t adjust the foreground layer anymore- once you say done it merges and you can’t fine tune the image without affecting the background.

Ok so my other reviews I either found whatever I am looking for or find it on the new update but I don't know now the Fill bucket either doesn't work at all or doesn't work the same way and how I want it to!
