Revived my old iPad!

Delordofredneck

This app is fantastic! I’m so impressed with how smoothly it runs on my original iPad Air which has slowed down over the years and can no longer be upgraded pass iOS 12.

Would Be Good

I was so excited to try this out and I’m kind of disappointed... It’s lags SO bad and it just defeats its purpose because I cannot work like that.

Saved my old iPad 2 and gave it good use!

Just downloaded this today so we will see how it goes. I have an old iPad 2 that is basically obsolete, no support for most apps I want etc. this app supports older versions of iOS so I decided to give it a try. So far it seems well worth it, pretty easy to setup and can connect automatically after the first time. Second screen a bit slow but nonetheless useful compared to no second screen at all.

Does what others claim

Drag0nSilver

It just works. I've had absolutely no problems using this as a second monitor for my Mac book Air 11". No lag, no drama. It's cheaper and more reliable than AirDisplay. Further, it delivers the on-screen keyboard that stopped working on AirDisplay. What more could I say? ---- Update November 2020: Still the best!

Yam Display

Either wired or wireless there are no other external/additional monitor app for iPad than Yam Air and Yam Display. I have been trying most of them and I can say that almost all other display apps for iPad (incl. iPad Pro) are not yet compatible with the new macOS Sierra Version 10.12 Beta but Yam Air (and Yam Display) is. You will definitely love it... First try the free version then buy both apps as a bundle at a cost less than a burger. :)

Minimally laggy, otherwise great.

Gentle Explorer

There is a small lag, it not bad. Perhaps not good for CAD, but it is great if you want to park a window open on the side, such as your email. The wired version has less lag, but the WiFi version isn't that bad, really. Seeing this makes me wonder why it isn't a standard feature of IOS and macOS, it it's probably just that Apple is lethargic and may have forgotten it makes Mac computers.

Does what Duet can't!

wjshipman

I previously purchased Duet but it lacks wireless mirroring abilities. Sometimes I don't have my lightning cable with me or it get unplugged for a second and has to reconnect, so I gave this a try. I was weary it was be super laggy mirroring my display wirelessly or just bad resolution, but I'm happily reporting that it runs just as well as Duet does with a USB connection! I recommend!

Amazing

Khelly.

Just installed the app and I am very amazed. Yes, there is lag, but not a serious lag...you can still work. Hope you(developers) continue to update this app for ios11 and continue to improve it. Thank YOU!!!

Great travel solution

sandogsurfer

I was wanting an option for using my iPad as a second display while traveling. Having one of the 12” MacBooks I find it a pain to ever connect anything to it via a wire since that means I’m going to have to dig around to try and find an adapter so I decided I would prefer to go with a wireless option. I knew their would be some lag (as there is with any wireless video connection) but was concerned about how distracting it would be. I use it mostly just to have a reference document and do most of my work on my laptop display and found it worked great for my uses. I certainly would not use it for anything like watching videos or gaming. Bottom line... two thumbs up from this guy!!

Love it
