Boring early levels = people won't stay for the higher ones

Seriously, don't insult our gaming abilities with 3 little circles, give us what's shown in the demo! The font is illegible at phone size - was this playtested on real devices?

Reviews Without Unlocking the Full Game???

Coldar

Revised review considering all the negitives I see here. First off its a premium game and only if you pay the one time premium price (which few have done here apparently) you get the full game and I don't see ads but then I play offline. Second, 10tons designed the controls purposely to give the game/ship actual "feel" when moving the ship, a lost art to some it seems. I play on an iPad and NO ISSUES and controls take but a few moments to get used to, just like many other iOS game. Just playing without paying then to post a review is just worthless, the actual game was never really played. Highly Recommend! Good job 10tons for another suprb game!

Pretty good demo

BarbieQ234

First of all, the free portion is a demo fueled by ads. --- Blah blah blah Previous complaint about control size on the phone, but it's now more manageable. I don't care too much about the ads; most are short (Most players are for the demo. Don't expect too much from it...). Based on the demo, this game appears to be a bullet hell type of game with restrictions, such as weapon overheat and limited cash to upgrade, to amp up the difficulty. The company's mean to lessen the difficulty was by implementing a dodge-mechanic by switching ships; this gave player a brief invulnerability while giving them full control to move the ship. (Exploit this and manage your ship-switching cooldowns.) --- I personally enjoy the weapon overheat; it gives the game a unique level of difficulty while retaining its bullet hell format. I suppose many players aren't used to these types of game and expected infinite bullets from traditional bullet hell/plane shooter games. A tip to manage weapon overheat is to dodge around bullets often and shoot in short bursts. The game functions on spawning waves of enemies, so you'll be seeing the remaining enemies again.

Great game

Don't listen to the stupid reviewers complaining about the price. They just want something for free. Just a bunch of whiny people.

Why 5 Stars?

Lordshadowz

Because this is an awesome game hands down! It's polished. It's a single priced premium experience with a long campaign and 3 survival modes and tons of replayability. There are lots of upgrades. There is a lot of diversity with the types of squadrons you can put together. The gameplay is fun and intense. 10tons put a lot of effort into the game and it shows. For all of the whiners complaining about having to pay only $5 for a game it actually costs money to make a game with this quality. If you can't afford to pay $5 then don't bother playing games on your phone cheapskates. I absolutely recommend this game. The controls are well done as well. Thank you 10toms for a great time!

Don't trust the negative reviews here, unless they paid...

Sugimulm

Paid and loving it! It's a STRATEGIC SHOOTER people! Not a SHMUP! If you're looking for something strategic and challenging, buy to unlock, worth the price and then some. To add, rpg elements involved here, upgrading ships and more.

Were they trying to make the game not fun?

noahsam

I'm a big fan of schmups, but this game seems to take the rule book and actively design against it. The result: a frustrating game full of limitations and flaws. Controls are sloppy and awkward (either commit to motion aiming conventions or not) the weapon overheat is absurdly short and punitive (the weapon cooldown takes longer than the overheat itself!) and enemies are consistently attacking from areas occluded by the chunky UI controls (or from outside of the screen entirely). Icing on the cake: repairing all four of your craft can cost more currency than you make in a mission, so advancement is slow and grueling (if even possible). I don't know how you can fix this mess. Sorry devs.

Could be good

FoxtheSly

But I would not know cause every mission has an add you have to watch.I turned of my wifi and it still showed adds. Either it access my wifi without permission or they are loaded in the game.
