XCOM 2 Collection is paid iOS app published by Feral Interactive Ltd
The nickiest name of them all
I bought it because I have an I phone 7 but apparently it has to be specifically an iPhone 7 Plus and the refuse to let you play the game unless its the supported device. Meaning I have $20 in the hole and 8 gigs of dead space on my phone now. I had a lot of faith in Feral after the company of heroes launch but this is pretty disappointing.

This was my first time playing XCOM 2, and I was thoroughly enjoying it on iOS until a save data corruption prevented the game from progressing after 5-10 hours of play. Feral could recreate the bug I encountered, but have no proposed fix except for starting over. Even reverting to a prior save was a no-go. To avoid similar dead ends cropping back up, I’m looking to play on other platforms that are more reliable and properly QA’ed.

This games needs some work; crashes a lot causing you to lose all progress since last autosave (it can be a lot). Long missions cause it to run very slowly. No option to make all equipment available!! You have to manually go to soldiers; unequip and equip, a step back from enemy within. This is made for specific OS and hardware unlike pc, how hard is it to make it not crash?

It’s possible to install this game on an unsupported device. Be careful because my iPad Pro 9.7" is not supported but I was able to purchase and install only to have the game tell me to use a different device. Very uncool.

I love this game but frequently get crashes when the briefing enroute screen loads. At this point the game is unplayable. I have an iphone XS Max.

I came from the ps4 version and this version runs so much better. The game hasn’t crashed for me. Even in the lost missions and it comes with most of dlc

I carefully checked the list of supported devices before plunking down $25 for this game (one of my favorites on my PC), and sure enough, it shows that my 5th gen iPad is indeed supported (and yes, I'm updated to the latest version of iOS). I purchased and downloaded the game, went to run it... boom! I get the screen saying that this app is not supported on this device. Why, Feral? Why does your app store page say one thing and the app says another? Seems fundamentally dishonest. I'll be asking Apple for a refund.
