Update Stinks

I love Words, spend way too much time playing it, but the latest update is making me lose interest. I don't need lightning bolts and exclamation points. I also don't need to be hounded to get badges. Badges? I don't need no stinking badges. Just leave the game alone and stop trying to appeal to the vapid few who want bells and whistles.
No ad free options even when ....

I dunno about this one. I HATE winning 2 hours with no ads and it keeps showing me ads. I know this is an ad engine, but it’s frustrating when there’s no real accountability when you offer then balk on what is being offered. I hate that I can’t make a word of ee but other players keep coming up with aa or ee. It’s not as much fun as I thought it would be. I’d pay $$$ to just play drama free. Come on Zynga. Let us pay and experience this game with no ads. I turn the volume down myself and I never buy anything advertised here, NEVER
Unplayable after recent update

Absolutely unplayable after last week’s update. Booting up the app takes nearly 2 minutes on an iPhone 6s. It crashes every (no exaggeration—EVERY) time I switch back to the app. When open, the app is mostly unresponsive. Solo Play games simply disappear at random mid-game.
WWF2

I would love the app more if I had an option to close out the WWF2 pop up every time I open WWF. I don’t want WWF2 but I have to hit upgrade then go back to my regular game just to play. Can you please thank that out or give an option to close it out without being taken to the Apple store. It’s getting old. I have the paid version of WWF.

Two days s ago this game became a frozen bit of garbage on my phone. It takes over a minute to load, freezes up mid game and the ads freeze as well. I have played this for years but I am done.

Updated the app and now it won't open. Until this is fixed two stars. Will lower Down to one soon.

First of all I want to say that I love this game. Tonight however, there was a flashing ad at the top of the game that was blinding. I am incredibly disappointed that it was there and that it was so disturbing. I will quit if I see it again. Please take it down. I’d give you a five star review, but with the ad I can’t give more than a 1.
Awful “Upgrade” Prompts

The game itself is good—slightly better on iPhone than on iPad thanks to the automatic display of word validity below the game board—but the experience is substantially diminished by the new “Upgrade” prompt that leads to a DIFFERENT APP in the App Store (a different app is NOT an upgrade) and cannot be closed (it offers ONLY an “Upgrade” button). To get past the prompt to the actual game one must quit the app, restart it, and hope the prompt does not appear that time. Ugh.

Since last update, type message box doesn’t come up, can’t chat. Please fix, other than that, I love the game, and not ready for words2.
