This is one of the best apps for french. It not only provides definitions but different forms of the word and idioms! I bought the Rousseau app before I found this one and this is so much better and the only one I use!

In general Word Reference is highly effective, easy to use. My fiends and I ask that the engineers consult the entry for rational, fourth meaning. Please find a better sentence. It is offensive to us, your users.

I love this app and the variety of entries shown in different contexts...but it’s not available offline. I have some translation work I’d like to do during 2 long flights.

As the Spanish teacher for the past 20 years, word reference is the only dictionary I allow my students to use in the classroom. Word reference gives great examples and the forum has fantastic examples for any questions that may arise with the use of a phrase.
What happened to word-linking?

The app is excellent, but it seems you guys have taken out one of the best features: that when you tapped on a word, it would automatically redirect you to the entry for that word. Please bring this feature back. It was much liked.
great dictionary, poorly maintained app

i use wordreference for spanish/english nearly every day. it has much better information and context than google translate, but it seems like the app development has just stalled out. the interface is out-of-date and clunky. more importantly, it has numerous bugs that often cause it to be unable to search, and when it is able to search, sometimes it fails to find entries that do exist. in the last week, it has gotten even worse. i haven’t been able to search for anything for several days, and the latest update has not fixed this. i hope this gets fixed soon, because i like this app and it’s 100% unusable for me right now.
