Wordpress is ruined

In the last several years Wordpress has gone from a rock-solid straightforward blogging platform to an erratic, unreliable, inconsistent, overcomplicated mess that makes concentrating on writing nearly impossible. I don’t want to switch platforms, but I’m beginning to feel that I have no choice if I want to be able to focus on my content. The constant need to figure out yet another UI change and to work around the random bugs that invest each new hasty and all-to-frequent release is just too much. I feel frustrated, betrayed and heartbroken over the loss of a favorite tool.
UNDEFINED phrase deletes text in blog post

After writing several sentences in a text box, if one taps update some of the text will always disappear and be replaced with an UNDEFINED phrase instead. Please fix this glitch or make the ussr exactly aware of what is happening, because it’s very frustrating to write everything again even though one has just saved by updating. Thanks

For self-hosted sites not using JetPack this app can be frustrating. Published posts never move from drafts to posts in the app.

The update is not user friendly at all. I can not find basic functions that I could do before, making it difficult to write. Way more complicated than it needs to be. Miss the old version!

I’ve had the Wordpress app for *years* starting back when the 1st ipad was a hot new item. Today I’ve deleted the app. And while my star score for it has been declining it’s now a 1-star and I’d give less if I could. It’s fancier now than it was, but it’s all but useless. The block editor is distracting and confusing. I haven’t the slightest idea what it does to shortcodes but if I want to use them I have to go to the site instead. It’s lost functionality over time and got nothing to make up for that. I’m done. I’m sorry, sincerely, to the devs whose feelings this may have hurt. I’m sure you work hard, but maybe take a step back to the early days of this app, see what it could do, then look at it now. It’s very pretty but it’s just not the same in some very irksome ways. I wish you the best but I’ll just deal with SMS 2SA & browser editing. Thanks for the ride, it’s been weird

This app is so limited, I can’t control any of the parts of my website I need to through this app therefore the app is pointless.
Doesn't upload photos and deletes progress

This app is not uploading any of my photos from my phone, plus it deletes my progress on writing even though I save as a draft and update the draft. It is completely useless if I can't write a blog on my phone without it deleting my words and won't let me upload photos from my phone. How is this not functioning? It's 2020 and it can't even upload photos and I'm tired of losing everything I wrote. It also doesn't have an option to auto-save either. Ridiculous.

I have been trying to start a blog and it’s as if it doesn’t want to recognize actions. It’s glitchy now, when it wasn’t. It freezes, restarts and at times doesn’t want to even update my own page.
