I have been playing this game for a long time. I play against other people but also against the computer. Recently, the computer started playing words that are definitely not real words. I contacted the developers and they said they don't use any online dictionaries and just use their own. So basically the computer can play anything and they can just say it's in their dictionary. I even checked to make sure I didn't accidentally switch languages, but nope, still English. It's very frustrating. I would have easily given 5 stars before this change.

I could play this game all day. I rarely do in app purchases for games, but I purchase all the time with this game.

I used to love this game and am good at it, even at remembering many of the non-words it accepts. Recently Wordox started pairing me against bots. They look like real players but are "private" accounts, ha ha. They never make a lousy play, know every arcane non-word the game takes and always play right away. Not real people. They are ruining the game for real players and Wordox needs to take them out or I'm quitting.

I used to love this game. But now every other opponent I get is a bot. They successfully play absurd non-words every turn. Their “profile” pics are all obvious, hokey clip-art selections and their accounts are always private. They’ve taken the fun out of the game. Oh, and if you get an ’S,’ you win.

Great game concept. Visually sometimes hard to read letters. Which can cause you to play Wrong word. Too easy to hit play before ready causing you to skip turn or use jokers. JOKERS can’t be earned period. Should be able to earn one per win. The price of a joker is too pricey for a regular player. They’ve added robot players that play never heard of words. And we have no WORDOX dictionary to verify them. I’ve played this game for awhile but ready to quit. And reading other reviews I see others are too.

Love this game but want to know what dictionary you use. Sometimes my opponent uses words that are not found in Merriam Webster It really is frustrating seeing words used by my opponents that aren’t in any dictionary I check including the scrabble dictionary. Also, I sometimes use a word after checking that it is acceptable and Wordox doesn’t accept it. I love playing Wordox and I normally would have rated it higher

Today it has been crashing incessantly. Been playing for almost two years. Absolutely loved it. It seems with more and more people abandoning this game, Wordox has been substituting AI as players. Almost every play is an "exotic" word. You can always tell an AI player by the avatar they use, and the majority of "players" have hidden accounts and chat off. Racial, ethnic and gender slurs are permitted, and even when reported, still appear. Not acceptable. The day draws near when I will be forced to delete this app. Real shame.
