Loud Ads Are Annoying

Impatiently4u2go

With the sound off the ads still blast loudly and destroy the silence. Disgusting ploy to ransom money from users.

Appodeal is causing game to crash.

Hi...I sent a review the other day advising your developers that recently, ads have been causing problems. So, here’s what’s happening.... After you play 3 or 4 levels (with ads), you get a black screen. There’s a red tab in the corner that allows you to “click on” information about the ad. The problem is, that the “ad” never appears. Just leaves you with a black screen! You can’t do anything further, because technically, the Word Wow game is still running. Even if you close the game, when you open it, the same black screen (with the little red tab) comes up. Ive offloaded the game, reinstalled it and the same thing happens. It happens on all the word wow versions...but not on other games. Frustrating, to say the least! The games are awesome, btw!

I always keep sound muted to avoid disturbing others or waking them up. Some of the ads override the mute, which is unacceptable and causes me to avoid this game.

Game is fun but...

I miss the original game of bookworm, please bring it back. Playing these versions don’t bring that same excitement back.

Love this game! It’s fun, challenging, and even the ads aren’t horrid. (Most of them have the option to close out of them quickly). I did decide to spring the $2.99 for no ads, though. 2 minor annoyances - 1. I’ve found valid words that the game won’t accept. 2. The game pauses if you minimize the screen or if you have to change screens (if you get a phone call, for example). Neither of these are deal-breakers, though.
