I’ve been a user for over a year now. Lots of good networks to choose from. Good ping times and speeds. I use it mainly for browsing the web at work (restrictive work WiFi for online shopping and music streaming) and security on open WiFi networks. Couldn’t be happier. Paid service is excellent. Good, responsive support.

My experience with the mobile version have been quite terrible, as it doesn't even support the version of iOS that I'm running.

I bought the paid version because I wanted to have an unlimited amount of bandwidth. The app is simple to use and effective. I use it to protect my devices from public WiFi. I’ve been able to use Netflix on public WiFi, while running this VPN in the background (to protect my device...). However, a few days ago it stopped working. I get the message that there’s an unblocking proxy being used, meaning that Netflix picked up on the VPN. It’s disappointing because that’s one of the reasons I paid for this VPN, over the many other ones out there. I contacted customer support, and they responded that I should download the chrome extension. Is that possible on a mobile phone? I’ve tried but I don’t know if it worked. Using the app was so simple, I hope they put on the “Windflix” option on the app. Overall, I’ve rated this 5-Star because it’s generally effective in protecting WiFi, doesn’t significantly slow down my internet speed nor drain my battery. I hope they resolve this issue soon. As of Feb 2, Hi, This is an update for what I’ve previously written. Windscribe has added the US/UK Windflix option on the IOS app, which enables the user to connect to US/UK Netflix while using the VPN (I do it for security purposes, to keep my device safe on public WiFi). This option is very easy to do, and works beautifully. Thank you for support team at windscribe for this!! Amazing app! Definitely recommend!

The VPN has good speed and privacy. I would like to see the app support Open VPN, instead of IKEv2, for greater security. Also, a landscape mode would be appreciated. Update: Please don't lie to your users. I'm sure you know that IKEv2 was on Snowden's list as potentially compromised by the US government. Please at least provide Open VPN support within the app, as an option. Update 2: An update without the security boost equals another docked star. Update 3: Who's implementation of IKEv2 are you using? And how long do your PFS keys last for? None of this still addresses Snowden's claim that a number of backdoors and side channel key leaking mechanisms may have been implemented into the protocol. Update 4: The VPN now turns off when the iOS device goes into sleep mode. You're going backwards with your updates. Please fix this.
