Something went horribly wrong with this app

I have used this app for several years now and have always enjoyed it. However, since this new update has been done it is always freezing and not updating to current weather conditions. It asks to retry literally every 5 seconds and doesn’t work with either WiFi or LTE. Idk what the deal is here but it needs to be looked into. I hate not being able to use it as it is my local weather channel.

The app works and looks great except it will not do landscape mode on my iPad which is how I view everything. Very difficult to use when everything is sideways so are use other apps instead.
So bad I didn’t want to give it a star!

The only reason I gave it one star is because I couldn’t send the review without it! I totally agree with eye95’s rating. That person straight-up nailed it! I hate this app so much I won’t use it. I changed to Ch. 2 but I do have WHIO’S old version on my iPad. Thank goodness! Learned a lesson to check out app info and read reviews before I upgrade! It is cluttered and way too much info. I don’t want to scroll through a bunch of junk to get to what I used to be able to see when I opened the app. I like to see the 48 hours hour by hour forecast. I used to look at the weather for the week and then the hour by hour. Now it takes too much scrolling and tapping to get to it. Old graphics were much more colorful and appealing! Why would you replace bright royal blue 4 color with light blue and white type! Seriously don’t know how anyone could possibly think this app is better! PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK!!!!!

Please bring back the old version of this weather app! This new version is too busy and hard to navigate on the go. I don’t like the new radar view either. I find myself using the Weather Underground app more these days as it is easy to navigate and very accurate on hourly forecast with wind speed/direction and a bar graph of hourly precipitation - easy quick view. Please bring back the old version of this app. FYI- I’ve been using WHIO Weather app for 5 plus years.
No tornado warning alert

We just had a tornado warning where I live, but even though my push notifications are all active and everything in the settings is set up fine, I never received any tornado warning alert through the app. Luckily I heard the sirens and saw it on channel 7 when I turned the TV on, but I'm about to move a little further out into the country, so I'm not going to be able to rely on any siren.

Changing an app is not always an improvement. Several issues have ruined this app. 1) It is too busy, too many categories, too many videos (who wants to have to stop what they’re doing to watch a video?) 2) Ads...the biggest pain for all app users. Too many ads, often splashed right over content, very distracting, and the user is forced to endure the ads by accepting them or go through an Ad Preference exercise (meaning you WILL see distracting ads, like it or not) 3) Weather warnings seem to have disappeared, did not happen at all during a recent tornado warning 4) An app is supposed to make things easier and streamlined, a simpler user experience. This app fails in that category.

The mad upgrade is good but the weather alerts are confusing, the Tornado Warnings and the Severe Thunderstorm warnings boxes are similar. Need to make them the old colors but the map is better
Hard to see, background too busy

Would like option to change background color. The current color makes forecast hard to see. Also, app keeps crashing. About every two days I have to delete and reinstall.

I deleted your app because it was too busy, too hard to read. I liked the old clear concise app. Today I tried it again, it’s better. But I still liked the old one better.

This has to be the most miserable weather site in existence. Full of ads when other weather apps are ad free. It is also slow and occasionally does not even work.
