In the past I've had trouble with WFAE's app crashing and resorted to streaming using my mobile browser. They paid attention to the issue and have published a good looking and well-working app. Thanks!

This updated version is incredibly stable on a variety of iPads and iPhone using various iOS. Love the access to traditional jazz anytime!

I've listened to NPR for many many years (WUNC) and WFAE since it started, close to 30 years ago I guess. I've listened digitally for a good while and this is definitely the best app update yet--its stable and I don't have to listen via TuneIn app any longer. Of course I'm a supporter of NPR and generally the programming on WFAE and locally really like Charlotte Talks. I don't live in Charlotte but Mike always has something of interest for even Hickory listeners. Update: continues to work fine-- very stable and I listen a variety of ways-Iphone, Ipad Air and Ipad Pro-all just fine. My favorite station.

I attend university away from home (where I have no phone signal but do have wifi) and am still able to hear all the great coverage WFAE provides.

Have listened to and supported WFAE/WFHE for almost 20 years, since I moved to NC. Programming is great, but this app still has significant issues especially every time they "upgrade." I no longer use this station as my alarm because it is so undependable and find myself listening to other stations more and more. The app continually drops (on an iPhone 6+) and is frustrating to no end. I don't have these issues with other stations / apps. WFAE needs to get their act together as more and more listeners use an app for access.

I use this app mostly when I'm listening to NPR and need to get out of the car. Just click and the streaming begins.
