Update loses due dates

The due dates on your personalized planning timeline are removed with the most recent update (which is REQUIRED to continue using the app) and simply change to a generic “2-3 months before,” etc. I had personally entered due dates from various vendors for things like floral and other deposits, etc. ALL gone.

Updated review - It has been 2 years since our wedding and I still loved this app. I was still using this app regularly to look up addresses that I don’t keep in my phone, but they no longer have the zip code listed with addresses and there doesn’t seem to be a way to order the list alphabetically anymore, either. It is MUCH less helpful/useful after the recent update because of changes like this. That would have been so frustrating during wedding planning. Previous review - The great - the budget tool works better on the app than on their website. I have had to input payments into the app because the web budget hasn't been working right. My guest list (just under 200 people) is at my fingertips, and being able to pull it up, no matter where I am and check names or addresses has been so useful. I can even update RSVP status right in the app. The good - The favorites section lists the booked and favorited vendors with links to their weddingwire pages, so it does have contact info and such. But there is nowhere to add notes on the app, like contact history or things that need to be discussed. The countdown timer is a neat idea, I just wish it were accurate, and there is no way to change it. I double checked the times I had input into the website to be sure, but the app has my wedding starting 7 hours and 39 minutes after it is supposed to, so that's frustrating (and random and strange). I wish there was some way in the app to set it to the correct time. The vendor search is decent, because you can filter it to find within your area and according to services. But you can't search for a specific vendor by name, which would have been nice. All in all, though, a good app.

We need exact dates on the checklist! Not vague “2 to 3 weeks before”. Ugh! Change it back! Or give us the option to set list items to exact dates! I had specifically added items and now I don’t know when I had set them for! Epic fail of an update on an otherwise great app.

I’ve found this app to be extremely helpful to keep me on track and not feel like I’m forgetting anything as I plan my wedding, however with the most recent update they got rid of the “due dates” and instead have multiple lists for things that Should be done “9-7 months out” or “6-4 months out” which truthfully isn’t a huge deal but I really liked the specific dates and found them to be really helpful. Aside from that I’ve found this app to be extremely user friendly and helpful! Love the progress bar it gives you as well.

Whenever I am on a forum post and hit the back button, I get an error of sorts “oops we dropped the bouquet on this one!” And a blank screen. I then have to redo the search all over and it is very tedious and a little frustrating. Update please!

New update is terrible!!

The only reason I had this app was for a check list with dates on it and now they took away the due dates and have it set to month long time frames. Example 7-9 months out rather than saying pay your photography deposit on 7/12/18 like it did before. So with the update it deleted all of my actual dates and now I have to go find them again. Whoever decided this would be helpful has never planned a wedding. DUMB update wedding wire.

This app is a great help to me I’m only giving it a 3 because I miss the opinions of have the exact date I need to get stuff done not the months out

I love WeddingWire itself. They have a lot of options and make it easy to find vendors and contact them. I love the layout and all their wedding website design options. It is my wedding planning app and it’s been wonderful. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is super difficult to creat a wedding guest list on there. I tried doing one on their template they suggest and when I finished and imported the list, it doubled everyone’s name so I had double the guest. Then, you have to go one by one to delete each guest. There is no option to delete all. It’s confusing, but other than that I love it!

Basically all that I use this app for is the checklist. I love lists and I love checking things off. The checklist used to split items into specific dates now it’s just says 2-3 months before and a week before, etc. I want my dates back! I don’t want to do calculations in my head.

Don’t like the update

I really dislike the new date format showing months out instead of actually due dates. Maybe have the options to chose which one you want? Also I wish I could delete items in the budget but I cannot.
