Decent app with massive glitch - alerts

No matter how many times I go into the app settings and turn off all alerts I keep getting them. When I go back into the settings I can see the alerts are turned back on. The app is overriding my choices and I’ve been inundated with alerts recently. No one at weather channel cares and it appears that it is their policy to force alerts on you and override your settings.

The alerts are nonstop. I turn them off in my profile, but they keep turning back on. I have to turn them off everyday.

Not living up to my expectations

Changing me previous score of 4 stars to 3 stars. The weather predictions are just not accurate. Where are they getting their models from?? Been watching the radar all day today because they saying rain. The radar showed rain by 2 PM and complete cover over the region. It’s 4:15 and still no rain. Future radar still shows all green but nothing. Happens all the time. Why even bother. I’d rather pay $5 and get weather predictions I can rely on. Aren’t you guys supposed to be good at this stuff. You need to do a lot better.

The best way to describe this app is how inaccurate it is. They are the weather channel but can’t come close to predicting the actual weather. Skip this app. Got this app again after a year or so of not using it. (5/2/18) It still is awful. The widget doesn’t update even when told to continuously follow me. I have to unlock my phone to see the widget update current weather. That defeats the purpose. Hire some better app developers.

Worst upgrade ever

I loved the old Weather Channel App. Gave me just what I needed, easy to navigate, easy to ignore what I didn't care about. This is glitchy, requires constant scrolling, has tons of stuff I don't care about and I can't rearrange what information shows up where. I hate when an App forces you to upgrade to something worse! I will now switch over to Dark Sky permanently.

New Version is Terrible!

I was hoping that the reviews of the update were wrong, but they are spot on. The new version is not at all easy to navigate. It doesn't let me go left or right to the towns I like to check. It doesn't pinpoint my location like the old version did. I really don't like it! Please downgrade to the old version for those of us who want a usable app. I'll use my local weather. It's much better.

For a visually impaired person this app is not user-friendly. They need to make the font larger and darker. I prefer the old visual format.

Anyone can find little faults with anything, but I believe small things aren’t a big issue. Maybe it’s just the way I am, but if something works well overall, I won’t hold it against a great review. I generally take negative reviews with a grain of salt anyway unless it’s major! When I decide to leave a review for something I will judge fairly. Sure if it’s something that needs to be very accurate then I will judge more accordingly... Yes things have changed with the look of the UI this that... It’s different, but I have no problem with the change. I have noticed the Radar map, and other weather info is on point with other weather apps or forecasts. Weather can always change. Sometimes things will be a little off especially with radar map. If the Radar shows rain in my location at a given time it’s generally correct give or take 15 minutes, but it’s not a big deal in the Grand Scheme of things. I don’t necessarily expect exact timing, because as I said weather can have acute changes. Nothings perfect, but overall I have nothing majorly negative to say. I use the app with iPhone 6, and my main iPhone 7.

Constantly turning off updates and notifications, after 10 minutes the app resets itself and continues to send updates and notifications. 1 Star because this app apparently has a mind of its own and constantly pushes junk alerts.
