I’m having trouble opening app! When I do get in and try to zoom into a location it closes the app. You need to work on it!

False advertising

Xxdythra

No free version. Only 3 to 7 days free. Not worth paying for. And I don’t like to be lied to.

Totally confused, probably paid for nada, and not accurate

I sail San Francisco Bay, was a subscriber to Sail Tactics which claimed to have joined SD with their “supercomputer” bay modeling, which claimed to be way more accurate due to using bay topography. Nowhere on Saildrone web presence is this mentioned. I am on “ultra HD pro” 9.99 a month subscription, which I only know by checking Apple subscriptions on my phone; Saildrone provides ZERO info about subscription in profile, and I wonder if there is any difference from free version. If I click “map” it shows options including “UHD wind” upgrade 225x more detailed; if clicked it has a cryptic “restore purchase” button WTH? So it appears I am paying for but not getting UHD. Worse, will not allow me to zoom in, triggers “street level zoom” upgrade at 4.99 a month? WTH squared. Then a “unlock wind barbs” with HD fees, which I am paying! Apple subscriptions lists about 6 different grades of monthly subscriptions, does not show “street level” nor match info in the app; basically there is nothing that coherently explains their products, nor confirms whether you are getting the product you are paying for. There is a “local color” button, but unclear what it does. Though “pretty”, maybe a bit better than Windy, at core, the general wind forecasts on the bay (admittedly filled with microclimates) have not been accurate, maybe as good as NWS zone forecasts, and the “200 meter “ not at all. From their web, it looks like this is a research product pivoting to consumer, unsuccessfully in my experience. At best horrible marketing to explain their product value propositions. Seems like high school project level execution. Glad I didn’t pay for a year, only wasted $10. Will cancel ASAP but hoping to see positive experience from SF sailors in the future, as there is great demand for accurate microforecasts.

So far loving it, did just get the app recently but it seems to do well.
