Not worthy of WBAL. Update: I gave the app another chance after a year without it, but WBAL has not fixed the problems. It's funny to hear them advertise the app on radio....almost as if they don't know how bad it is. A year later, this thing is still horrible. Videos don't play, layout is jumbled and with so many other, better news apps why would anyone bother with this dog.
Too many LONG ads before video clips

The ads are too long and are before EVERY video you try to watch. :30 ads before every video clip eats into my data and time to watch something when I'm a busy morning m with limited time. I also have difficulty getting the full screen option to work no matter what direction my phone is sitting. I will need to find a new app for local news.
Now an annoying ad pops up

Ever since last update an annoying ad pops up when I open application. In addition the news stories are not updated very often. I know theres a lot going on in Baltimore. The live feed has about 20 seconds of material then a commercial break. All in all app stinks and the content is even worse. News reporting in general is not anything like it was even 20 years ago. I will likely delete it.

Bring back the text instead of video. No one wants to watch ads to get to the story. Let us read instead.

This app used to be a good source of local news. But now, with this version, the priority suddenly seems to be more about earning ad revenue than actually providing users with news. As others have commented, stories are rarely updated now, and you have to go through a pop-up ad every time you open the app. Also, there is only one advertiser for videos. So you always have to watch the same ad, over and over and over again, if you want to watch videos. Terrible experience from a user perspective. You are now "paying" more for a lot less content.
