AppleTV App Is Broken

For the past week, opening the TCM all on the AppleTV leads to a black screen that does not go away. Please fix! I love TCM!
New update kills Apple TV subtitles

TCM is a wonderful channel. Amazing movies. BUT, the latest update or two has disabled the closed caption ability on the Apple TV. Previously, to toggle them you pressed the top right corner of the Apple TV remote lightly. Now when you do that it brings up the movie info in an overlay so you can’t turn on subtitles. Please fix.

We love TCM but without your own streaming service I’m forced to pay the ridiculous markup required by our cable provider AND every month I’m forced to activate my account which drives me nuts!!!! Do you care about your viewers at all?

I love TCM and am glad to have this app. However, it is NOT a very extensive library of TCM titles. I came in to look for something that aired about a month ago (it was deleted from our DVR) and was nowhere to be found. It also really needs a Search option, so don’t have to endlessly scroll through the titles.

LOVE TCM, BUT WHAT IS THIS?

I understand the reach for a younger audience this app represents. But it’s absurd to not offer a television schedule on this app as well. As one of the proud weirdos who subscribed to the hard copy “Now Playing” magazines (deeply missed), the bi-monthly emails are hardly a substitute. With the proper app template and design one would think the data, info, and time used to produce the emails could somehow be incorporated into the app. Would gladly pay a small subscription fee. TCM is one of the most important broadcast channels in the United States. Making it easier to plan to watch more of the channel shouldn’t be complicated.
Please get rid of opening jingle

Get rid of the jingle or give us a setting to turn it off. It’s impossible to open this app anywhere but in private. Once you do that, you get the 5-stars TCM deserves.
Pretty good but two requests

This version of the app works much better. It’s reliable and the controls work as intended. I only have two gripes. First, please remove the music that plays on app startup. I stream directly to my hearing aids and the opening music plays at too high a level and never fails to startle me when I start the app. Alternatively, an option in settings to turn off the music would work too. Second, it would be great if the app remembered where I left off watching a movie. I don’t always have time to finish watching a movie and I’ve resorted to taking a screenshot before I quit the app to remember where I left off.
