It needs new scenarios and campaigns. Perhaps a new game in the dark imperium setting using this engine. It is a great game otherwise.

This feels like the developers are taking advantage of 40k fans who will pay for content. Great game that is fun on an iPad. Lots of thought and detail into strategy & lore. Ultimately disappointing value at such a high price point. False advertising. The description states “you can play as the space marines”. This is only true if you pay $10 more for a dlc pack. After getting the orcs and Armageddon package for $30, it is a huge rip off to see such high prices for additional content. What you get for the price is not worth it. Honestly, I think $9.99 is a fair price, with the space marine dlc included. Devs taking advantage of die hard fans otherwise.

I’ve never even played warhammer before but this game is awesome! I’m hooked on it. Great strategic and challenging fun! I’m about half way through the campaign and can already tell I will be purchasing the expansions. Really hope u guys bring more!

Have yet to finish a single battle without a total crash to home screen with all of the game lost. This happened on every game I tried. I am on iPad Air with latest version iOS.

Worth the wait!

Coming off beta testing Warhammer 40,0000 Armageddon I have to say that I was really impressed with what I’ve seen and played. It’s a no brainer that Slitherine has created the perfect niche for one of Games Workshop most popular franchise by bringing the game to iPad. Haven’t played the PC version, but based on other reports the game was ported perfectly to the iPad and that I can attest to. As a newbie to the Warhammer franchise, I have to say Slitherine has created a perfect turn based Hex game and plan on playing this game for quite a long while. Great job!

I had been playing Games Workshop table top games since the late 80s. It really was a highlight of my youth. Years later I no longer desired to spend $100s to $1000s on the hobby, but I still like the WH40K universe and the different armies. This game is a great alternative and I plan on buying all the DLC and anything else this developer (Slitherine) designs for GW. This one truly shines, and is easily the best GW game on the App Store. Oh yeah, and if you like this style of game check out Panzer Corps made by Slitherine too.

Great Turn Based Strategy Game

I have not played the PC game, but this has been ported very well to the iPad. I enjoy the carry over of experienced troops from one scenario to the next. It's hard to not get attached to them. Other than small UI issues, I have found the game to very enjoyable.

To say that this game is great is not enough. As a strategy fan I appreciate all effort its creators put into making such a wonderful title. It plays very nice, plays just as on a PC, and maybe even better: using touch controls and moving units with your touch it is the closest thing to the tabletop Warhammer 40k you can get except the tabletop itself.
