Not a bad game but needs work

Daniel1939473829lions

This game would be much better if t he graphics were improved a lot and the game play was easier

Make it more realistic

Bluey the Wheel

Would like to shoot at any target; enable collisions; make enemy AI pilots dangerous; allow bigger battle area; enable target box and chase arrow hide option; make rudder and cockpit camera work consistently; allow gun camera; enable g force blackout and redout; allow battle damaged aircraft to break up in high g maneuvers. Good start-needs more realism to be immersive.

Historical

Bamabloom

So far, one of the most realistic ones I've played. Appreciate the added historical element.

It only needs a few dozen more improvements to be excellent

Engine sound should change when throttle is moved -- the sound of the propeller and engine pitch changes with thrust, so the pilot can tell if the plane is accelerating or decelerating without looking at airspeed. Player should be able to customize control layout so that it's easier to fly and shoot at the same time (when using the virtual flight yoke with thumb, it's difficult to shoot with the index finger). Simulation should incorporate blackouts and red-outs when pilot pulls positive and negative Gs during flight. Planes should crash into each other during dog fights. Radio traffic would be nice, especially if includes fellow pilots screaming for help while the enemy is blasting their wings off. I've only played the easy version so far, but the enemy should be able to shoot back (if this isn't the case already in the more difficult mode). Tracers and sounds of bullets flying by would be good. Enemy AI should react to bullets flying past their canopies -- they should take evasive action. The plane should stall out if it goes vertical long enough to lose speed. There are other things to add to enhance the simulation, but I think that's enough for now -- otherwise this is a great game. I really appreciate the historical research and all the other efforts. Good job!

A timed Turkey shoot

Sightreader

You have a very limited time to kill a certain number of enemies. Enemy fighters don't shoot back but are hard to hit. Bombers are easier to hit but their formation pecks away at your health. There's a huge parade of enemies and friendlies circling you at all times, but only the enemy you've targeted can be damaged by your fire. The masses of others and gorgeous scenery are all essentially eye candy. There are no collisions, takeoffs, landings, etc: it's all dogfighting. Aircraft maneuver in an unpredictable but pre-programmed way, giving you plenty of practice saddling up realistically behaving targets in a realistically behaving aircraft. Given a locked target, you have the needed plane-target views, rudder and other flight sim controls needed to anticipate enemy movements use reasonably advanced combat techniques. You can switch targets at any time to a random member of the herds milling about.

Awesome game

Salute!

parson925cabs

As a longtime WWII flight sim player (I'm "Parson" in Warbirds) I salute the makers of this game. I especially appreciate the two George Preddy missions. George was a true American hero, and deserves the recognition. I can hardly wait for the full version!
