The North American Aviation P-51 Mustang was an American long-range single-seat World War II fighter aircraft. It gained the reputation of being one of the best, if not the best, fighters of the war. Mustang pilots claimed 4,950 aircraft shot down, the most of any Allied fighter in the conflict.

It's nice to see the evolution of this basic game premise. There are still a few rough things (like a blurry Spitfire cockpit for a Mustang) but overall it's a nice addition. They keep moving the controls around and I got used to the loss of the arrow on "hard" but I wanted to both use rudder AND look around and couldn't do it with my left finger. I would have liked to have had "look" and the trigger on the right because I'm not shooting if I'm not basically looking at the enemy through the windscreen. If you've passed a mission but run out of ammo (I shot down 14 planes on Hard, ran out of ammo and still had 8 minutes left on the mission) PLEASE let the mission end! Nice that you guys put the score upload function! I'll keep buying versions of this game...keep up the good work! This game is a hard-core flight sim, not an arcade game. It's not "too hard" you just have to know how to play a flight simulator or fly in combat.

Not sure why my review was never posted on this game. This is the first time I've taken the time to post a review so not sure where my first one went. I hope I can prevent others from wasting their money on this horrible game. I wasted $5. I knew I should have tried the lite version for a dollar. At least that's all I would have wasted. The graphics on this are bad. No prop on the airplanes? The sound is pathetic. There is gunfire that all sounds the same, and then a ticking noise when your own airplane gets shots. Are you kidding? You can shoot at an airplane but the bullets won't hit it unless you hit the targeting button and actually target a specific plane, which will force the perspective to change, then you have to go find that specific plane to shoot at. Seriously? Wish I could say something good about this game... Please don't waste your money or time. I regret it and it got deleted.

I was quite pleased with the improvements over the free version. Although there hasn't been much change in graphics, the AI is better (there's finally a risk dying on Hard) and there's a nice variety of enemy aircraft to keep the experience fresh. If you haven't played this series before, you get thrown into the middle of a spectacular dogfight with infinite waves of aircraft from both sides parading about. The exhilaration of sheer numbers and a beautiful flight model more than make up for the simplistic graphic models used. On Easy, it's pretty much impossible to get killed, but beginners will still have their hands full getting oriented, finding the enemy, leading him and killing him. Keep in mind you're dealing with a sim requiring all the tools and skills you need to transition smoothly into even the most hard core PC flight sim! The tools are based on a single enemy lock mechanism. The same finger you use for rudder you also use to maintain the player to target view, so you'll have to get him into your forward view with aileron and elevator alone before using rudder to fine tune your aim.

What a waist of money. You get dizzy watching the back ground just spin around. If you just want some good simulation games. Try Sky gamblers, it is on sale for $3.00 and it is way better, then this. The explane games are also allot of fun. But this was a huge disappointment.

Great game. Hurricane Pilot and Battle of Britain in the series are little bit more realistic and have a more diverse opponents, but try this one as your intro
