From July to September 1940 the Battle of Britain raged between the German Luftwaffe and British RAF, the first major campaign fought entirely in the air.
All the missions are based on true history. You can read detail story about the battle you are going to fight. Documentary video clips provides more historical image of the battle.
You will be flying British's finest fighter Supermarine Spitfire. Dogfight with Luftwaffe's prominent fighter Messerschmitt Bf-109, or intercept the Junkers Ju-87 dive bomber 'Stuka', which was a symbol of German air power. All the other major aircrafts in Battle of Britain are present, include British's another legend fighter Hawk Hurricane, German twin engine fighter Messerschmitt Bf-110, and 3 German Bombers Dornier Do-17 'flying pencil', Henkel He-111 and Junkers Ju-88.

Where is the enemy
Howaboutthisname?
I flew around forever and only occasionally encountered enemy. Target lock seemed to do nothing. Either explain how to do this better or make it work. It ends up being a flight sim and there are better ones. As fir aerial war action it seems you endlessly search for enemy planes and have brief encounters. Pretty disappointing. And the scene us skways the same. Certainly nit worth the price as far as my experience goes.

Love WWII sims
While I appreciate someone putting a realistic air combat aim on the iPhone, this one needs a few tweaks to really come alive. The gunnery is actually quite well done but there is virtually no vertical manuvering whatsoever, which is dissapointing. Also, a couple of varried background images would help, and a bomber intercept mode (which is precisely what the vast majority of air combat in the BoB was about) would add some much needed gameplay variety. Throttle control and some way of using vertical space are the biggest drawbacks. Again I appreciat the idea and for what it is, it delivers accurate feeling WWII air combat.

Where are the (hundreds of fighters) per the Chinglish description of "as real as possible"?? You may get lucky and shoot down a few before your ammo is gone and the game is over even firing in short bursts. Around and around you go where there at nobody knows. 2$ I'll never see again. Don't be fooled by rave reviews on this one-it blows!

Despite the previous reviews, I got this app for a good WWII flying game. It loaded up fine and the game started. I was flying over a nice landscape and the graphics were smooth. So far, so good. About five minutes later - still flying - I had not run into another plane in the sky. I paused the game to look at the help menu to see what I was doing wrong, but there is no help menu - just quit and resume. No sensitivity control with the accelerometer, very little action and no ability to save. This game doesn't just need an update, it need a redesign. Too bad, it seemed like just the kind of game that I can't seem to find in the app store. Better luck next time.

I am a pilot and the flight characteristics are pretty accurate as much as they can be. The control, though, needs work. It goes from no control response to over responding. Also it would be nice to be able to calibrate the accelerometer as holding the iPhone straight vertical puts the plane in a nose up attitude. Likewise an ability to RTB would be nice to repair and reload. That said, it's still fun and challenging.

I've been played for awhile and it's and great little sim. The only thing I'm really not liking is how much space is used up on screen. I would like if some of it was alittle smaller so I could see more. Animations are good for an iphone game. Sound is alright. It looks good on my iPod touch 2g and runs good. I hope to see more. Thanks

Pretty cool little combat sim. The latest update includes a level calibration and sensitivity adjustment which work well. The overall look and functionality of the game improved as well. My only issue is that once you get to the Bader in Big Wing level, and you shoot down the 3rd target, nothing happens. The targeting drops off, and you just fly around aimlessly. Fix the level and it's a winner.
