Not really an RPG
Lalliw

I bought it because it said it was an RPG. There are characters, and they do gain levels, but you have no choice in what attributes, skills, or equipment they use. In fact you can not choose what attack your characters make, or change any attribute of any character. The ONLY choices you can make are: 1) what direction to move an individual, or the whole party (alleYs going forward along a straight track). 2) what arrangement to put your characters in (there is an obvious optimum arrangement for any set of characters) 3) where you are vis a vis the next cluster of monsters. This turns out to be a key to survival, once again there are obvious optimum configurations, but the controls make it easy to mess up your carefully crafted arrangement. 4) Purchase an enemy to fight for you. You gain gold as you go, and this can be spent bulking up your party. Now for the good parts: Graphics are nice, not amazing, but quite sufficient for this game. Controls are simple, and functional. The choices you do have make a large difference in your ability to survive the game. It is quick and easy to play, if a bit confusing for the first two minutes as you figure out all of the bits they didn't mention in the one page help screen. There are four levels of difficulty, this is good as once you have won at a particular level, it looses all replay value, oh, and it took less than an hour to beat the easy level. Battles are fun once you get used to how they work. Purchased monsters can have really different powers to what the default characters posses. You see lots of "level up" messages, which kind of makes you think you might be playing an RPG. What I would change: Character development: When I level let me choose SOMETHING, attribute, skill, weapon, anything to make it mine. Branching paths: let me go left or right, and face different monsters. This would enhance replay for me. A way to dismiss a purchased monster other than just getting them killed. Or let me progress them up the skills of that monster type. The ability to recruit healers, maybe I missed the monsters that heal, but the one healer I had could only heal people next to them, which real relegated my ranged people to places where they couldn't get hurt or generally attack, that was annoying. Let me go backwards, there were a number of times when I realized I had made a mistake, but had to watch my party die because it could not go backwards.

Can't believe I paid for this

As it stands so far I give it one star. I haven't played it much but don't intend to. This game is very misleading as you pretty much just move a group of characters around a screen and hope for the best. Not the rpg type game it appeared to be.

You know when you can't stop watching a movie because your mind just can not accept the fact that someone actually made such a giant stinking pile of poo? If that experience makes you happy, play this game. Also, if you happen to be someone who likes to do something that actually requires you to do nothing and does not in any way feel rewarding, this app is for you! Enjoy ;) Wow lol. I'm laughing...but truly I'm sad on the inside. Where is the QA? Being a small or indie company doesn't mean you don't have to actually at least try to make quality stuff.

At most 3 stars.

The fighting system is different from other games on iPad/iPhone. That's all I can say it maybe the only good part of the game. There are a lot of things needing great improvement. 1. Story is way too short. The game should be at least 5 times longer than it is now. 2. Nothing customize. Everything you can do now is fight, fight and fight. No items, no skill selection, no equipments, nothing you can buy besides buying enemies. You even can not try to level up more before fighting next chapter. Dear developer, please have a look at battle hearts. It has everything you need to learn besides the fighting system.

Reading this review is more entertaining and rpg-like than the game itself

Good game ,I like!

Sound concept, but...
Kellsier

This game has a good concept but it is entirely dependent on in-app purchases of gold to spend on "buying" the loyalties of enemies rather than defeating them. This concept breaks an otherwise cool game, also all you the units are identical, some have different auto attack ranges but essentially it's just move forward and auto attack, not as fun as it could be.

Can anyone tell me how to change the difficulty
