App is bugging out

Techran

I really like this app but it's bugging out when I go to put in my location and then it closes. It worked fine yesterday and the start of this morning but now I can't do anything on it.

Doesn't work

DeDoodle

Got this yesterday. Enabled GPS. That seems to work fine. But I tried it out on trees that I CAN identify just to become familiar with the app. One ID was totally wrong, and others could not even give me a single possibility. Also encountered a glitch when selecting a particular arrangement of leaves. But that doesn't account for the total failure to id. I'll try a few more trials. But the frustration is growing and will probably end up deleting this app.

Needs MUCH Improvement

HeadMoose

Not sure how this app is of any use to anyone. I used GPS to get my location, which was correct. I live in New England, and the woods behind me are mainly oak, maple, and pine. This app tells me I have no pine trees of any type, nor any fir trees (both of which are currently in view out my window in some abundance). Holly trees also do not grow here, which I am sure will surprise all those holly on my property. Sorry, VA. No way.

Useful

Tree Terror 2000

Although the app isn't pretty, I found it to be very functional. I found a sapling growing in my backyard and wanted to identify it, and this app almost immediately shows its weakness. I attempted to use my GPS to narrow down the list, and found it blank. After going to the all trees view, i found he tree i was looking for. Good app if you know how to use it.

Botanist

Botanical bill

I find this app to be highly informative for species of trees and shrubs occurring in my region (Oregon). I love how the app identifies my location and gives me an altitude as well. I'm very impressed and reference this app from time to time. Other reviews need to be updated as fact sheets are available for download and I have not experienced any glitches while using the app.

Photo ID

Nature observer

It would be great if this app could ID a plant from a photo I have taken of the plant on my iPhone or iPad.

Almost helpful

Tree_nerd

As Thomas Edison once said, "I have not failed. I have just found 10,000 ways that won't work." This app is one of those ways. As a UVA student, I'm not surprised this app is completely useless. However, I think there is room for improvement. After all, as Albert Einstein once said, "You never fail until you stop trying". Good luck.

Crashes every search

AxingAndy

OMG, searching repeatedly crashes the app. Sad.

Crashing

Ikeman12356

Crashes any time you use the search function, and often when using the identification function. Great idea for an app, hopefully future updates fix the crashes.

Great app

LordWeemie

The app is a great idea for tree Idenification. Only problem is that the app crashes when connection is poor.
