I am an avid language learner this app helps for when I am searching for a word, or when a phrase in say Spanish is one I do not understand. It is very helpful as to pronunciation as well.

When I first downloaded it it did not work right. The microphone did not work. It must have updated . Now I love this translator. Works great now on my iPad and iPhone . I like the history feature because I can write quite a few things to translate to the cute Chinese girl at the restaurant .

Overall, I've found this a very useful app. The one annoyance is that, using voice recognition, the program censors anything it considers dirty. I mean, c'mon—everyone wants to know how to swear in another language. Even more baffling is that, if you type in a "dirty word" the program allows it. I don't need my apps to monitor my behavior.
