Rayark’s Least Cared for Rhythm Game and it Shows

VOEZ is beautiful. It’s a stunning game, with calming artwork and an overall great vibe! It also has some of the most phenomenal map design I’ve seen. Visually, this game is amazing and a treat to the eyes, so much so, that I keep coming back to it as some sort of guilty pleasure. Positives out of the way, here are the negatives. VOEZ is free. VOEZ also has hundreds of songs. And by that I mean a whopping 726. Seriously, a big selection like this is amazing! There’s definitely a likely chance there’s a song you like. Back to the free part— VOEZ is not free. VOEZ has 726 songs, and only 12 of which you can obtain freely to keep. They have a rotating selection though! But it rotates like once every few months. Yeah Rayark is pretty neglecting of this game. Each song is 1$ going by Rayark prices, so if you really like the game, have fun spending upwards to hundreds for only a seventh of the song selection. You get lucky if you get a deal like 5$ for 10 keys (currency to buy songs). My tip? Just buy the switch version if you have a switch because every song is unlocked. If you don’t? What a shame, guess you gotta save those keys for those songs you REALLY like. Or shell out that cash dollar chaching—! There’s also the fact that if you have an iPhone 10 and up (with the large screens), you’re going to have ugly black bars on this otherwise beautiful game. Another technical gripe I have is that every time I start a song, it flips the game? So I have to flip my phone upside down and once the song finishes I flip it again. Annoying. Fun game, rigged from the start with awful freenium.
Do Not get this app. Get the game on the switch!

This is an AMAZING, addicting game. I’ve been playing for a year and I’ve been so satisfied. They made an amazing game! The songs: The songs are so catchy and you can listen over and over and never get sick of it! The graphics: This game has such amazing scenery, and fits the music so well! The story: the story is amazing, but it is slightly difficult to get to. The game makes it so you have to practice til you can make it. To new players: Don’t make the mistake I did, you can’t restart a level until you get it perfect. If you have a good score, keep moving! You can always go back! How to purchase: My only complaint is that in the app, you have to buy the songs one by one. If you have a nintendo switch, I recommend getting it on there. It’s a one time purchase and is a better deal than buying each song individually for a higher price. The switch version is only about $20.00 (I think, it might be about $30.00) Conclusion: This game is amazing, I love it and can’t stop playing! This is a must get!!! I really love this game and all other rhythm games by Rayark. But I can’t give VOEZ 5 stars. The iPad Pro 2018 has come out for over a year now, and VOEZ hasn’t added support for the new resolutions. People play on iPads because they have bigger screens. Having black bars on the sides really takes away the aesthetic graphics of VOEZ. There are definitely a lot of people also requiring this support. It shouldn’t be that hard to support a new resolution. Even the first Cytus received an update after a year for the resolution support. Hope you can fix it soon!

terrible game. every time i try to hold down my fingers to do the white sliding noes, it opens up the menu and messes with my progress. not optimized for the iPad. Absolute garbage, would not recommend to anyone not playing on iPhone.

I love this game and I love the music. In my opinion it would be 5 stars but I paired for a key in the store and never wound up getting the key. The purchase was on my cards history and everything. I went to look for a support email in the game settings where it should be and couldn’t find one. Otherwise great game.
Amazing game, but...

This app is amazing. I love the selection of music, the storyline, the game’s mechanics, and everything else. BUT! You should focus on buying the console version. It costs money (20 USD) but you don’t have to buy keys in order to play any songs. Instead, keys are given through completing missions that unlock the story, and they give avatars instead of songs. The app is amazing, but it’s better to get it on the Nintendo Switch for an easier play experience.
Laggy on older iPads now.

Lacking of Name
My expectation was on the roof with this game because it’s made by the same Rayark that had never made an unenjoyable game. And OMG!!!! How did this game makes me wanna blow. The gameplay is outstanding, which is a upgraded version of Deemo by adding new mechanics and new effects. The story is actually pretty interesting in it’s own way. But the music is the thing that makes this game an Editor’s Choice for Music Game category. There’re chill, pop, rock, dance and a lot more, and you don’t particularly need to unlock them because the Limited Time system lets you try out every single song in the library. Overall, a new standard for Rhythm Game.
