Patients can use the VHB to store a variety of rich multimedia content that they find personally supportive in times of need. For example, a patient can include family photos, videos and recorded messages from loved ones, inspirational quotes, music they find especially soothing, reminders of previous successes, positive life experiences and future aspirations, and affirmations of their worth in their VHB. A patient can also collaborate with their provider to create coping cards to use in response to personal problem areas they experience. Finally, the VHB provides the patient with positive activity planning, distraction tools, and interactive relaxation exercises including guided imagery, controlled breathing and muscle relaxation.
I suffer from Anxiety and A.D.D. I literately just started an hour ago and I am already in love, I would like to see the ability to select music via YouTube. Overall this is a great app!
Nice ideas here, but no directions to games....can’t use all easily and word search kept turning off and reverting to home screen. Pictures on breathing screen flash so quickly - it could cause a seizure.....I’m thinking there is a glitch - it’s too fast for the mind to grab images and the words breathe, rest, hold kept flashing as well. Fix the glitches and this could be a really good tool to give to clients.....can’t recommend it as is.
I applaud the person who though to create this. Thank you so much. This will be very helpful during high emotions and possibly crisis. A good way of self-care. My favorite part is making the puzzles and positive memory reminders. Thank you again, and continue to do wonderful things.
A great idea for an app, but the first thing I tried to use (guided meditation) automatically stops as soon as your phone goes to sleep. Not so relaxing!
I just got this app and it seems like it could help me, it was recommended to me by my therapist. The controlled breathing seems to have an issue at least on my phone where the background flashes from one image to another, it seems that if you had epilepsy you might have issues with it.
I absolutely love this app. I am currently being treated for PTSD, Major Depressive Disorder, SAD, and Anxiety. This app has been wonderful. It is great to have so many terrific coping mechanisms in one place. I would recommend it to anyone. The problems are these. I cannot get any audio during the relaxation videos. I cannot get the "Inspire Me" section to upload photos. These are major problems as far as I am concerned. I miss having the opportunity to use the features as intended.
Really good. Almost completely self explanatory. Would recommend adding the rules for the games such as sudoku and mahjong for those who aren't familiar with them.
