Used to work well

I’ve been using this app for two years and have watched its bugs and functionality issues get worse and worse, now to the point it crashes as soon as I open it. I can’t find a way around it. Also, Vanido can *only* be used with corded headphones, using it with the phone speakers creates too much feedback, and using AirPods creates a lag that screws up your scores. However, it had lots of great exercises and really helped me solidify my voice and range, but now it’s completely unusable, please help! I upgraded to the latest version on 1/13/20 and still won’t open.

UPDATED: They fixed it!

cougies

As of Jan 2020, the pitch detection is FIXED and Vanido is back to being awesome! Thanks dev team! My original review: 1 star “Nov update broke the app! Please fix it!” I used to LOVE this app. I used it every day for months, and it really did make a big improvement in my vocal range and agility. UNTIL.... The update in November 2019, when a new bug was introduced causing the **note tracking to be a half step off***. It’s extremely consistent. It just always interprets your singing as being a half step lower than it actually is, thus making it impossible to complete an exercise, and making the entire app totally useless. It’s such a shame because it’s such a simple bug and IF ANYONE ON THE DEVELOPMENT TEAM WAS PAYING ATTENTION to the user activity, the complaints, or the reviews, they could easily fix it!! Wake up, y’all! You have paying customers. Fix your app. I’ll happily change my review to 5 stars if the bug gets fixed!

Doesn’t work with AirPod pros

Tim2435

Pitch jumps all over the place with AirPod pros. Crashes half the time.

Straight to 49.99

What’s up with straight to a fee?

Free vocal range

jpboy23

Great at finding vocal range. I myself am not spending $50 purchase for a year however.

Lagging and crashing but cool idea

bethanyrosecannon

Seems like a great concept but the piano playback kept lagging and jumbling after only a couple practices and crashed 3 times within the first 10 minutes of using. Sent bug report for the first problem but the app crashed before I could send a recording of the second problem.

I deleted my account and still got charged

ruben90834

OK, so I deleted my account a day too late after the terms agreement for cancellation kicked in. I get it, but now I’ve paid for a year subscription for an account I have no access to. My email isn’t being recognized. I gave my reason for not wanting to use the app (no clear vocalizing direction as lessons progressed). I’m very disappointed and would warn anyone to avoid this app. My mistake on not getting out sooner but their mistake of not letting me back in to use the app, no matter how weak it is.
