Make it multi touch!!!!

chrisis_x

Why this game doesnt allow multi touch? How can we do effective combo without multi touch? Everything is perfect though. Hope you can enable it in future updates then will make this review 5 stars.

Just as amazing as before!!!

Square Enix one small thing can you do a update for the game pads on iPad have full functioning on menus etc. like your other games that would be great other than that VP is perfect thank you square enix?

Great

The story play of the game is quite engaging, and heartfelt. The Valkyrie Lenneth herself is quite interesting. Sure at first seems plain, though the further you go, and if you do everything, it is revealed that there is something more to her in the past. A lot more to be precise. Each character is developed well. They’re all memorable in short. I’ve played many games dealing with Norse Mythology, so the course of the story was no surprise. That is where it was headed. Though what surprised me was Lenneth’s past. How certain characters have a direct impact on her character itself. I cannot say much otherwise I may spoil it. The battle system reminds me somewhat of star ocean. It quite easy to maneuver. The battles also have quite a few skills that can be used under auto command or reaction, etc. Now due to another comment, complaining about multi touch. It’s not a brain buster. Just tap the characters name after an attack to perform an additional attack, counter, etc. Over all my experience in the game was great. The story was very heartfelt. The progression was steady(if you do everything), and there are still a few holes in the story as usual, but nothing as important for the time being. If anything, I’d love for the game to have a new game+, I’d definitely replay it if that was added in.

I always wanted to play this

Was excited to finally play the game, have tried for years to emulate but never could find a good copy. The game just hasnt aged well I guess and comes from a different era. Voice acting is awful. Music is pretty forgettable but fine. Graphics are dated BUT do not look bad by any means and are still pretty good. Gameplay is where the game fell apart for me, and maybe it was just the intro dungeon boring me to death, but it seems to be pointless and mashy. Each fight is easily beaten through Auto battle and takes simply FOREVER seeing the same attack and special animations over and over. This seems pretty par for the course of RPGs of this generation though. The thing that killed my interest though was the wonky control scheme paired with a bad virtual joystick. There are 2D platform and jump sections that feel terrible and the complete bonkers interaction on having to walk over to an item, find the correct sweet spot, crouch, and then hit the action button go pick it up was insanely obtuse. I'm going to take a break and come back to the game in a few days but this is possibly something best left to those who played it originally (or on PSP) and have fond memories that can wipe away the clunky controls. It might not be for me.

Language choice please

Shadow-dog

I’m really happy that Valkyrie Profile came out on iOS. Only problem is that the voice is only in English. I wish we had choice to choose Japanese or English voice.

Great for all

SolidCloud217

Great for fans and new comers. Couldn’t believe how good it looked for a 20 year old game. Thank you square.

Excellent Game!

Void Method

Pretty much how I remember it... now how about Final Fantasy 8, Squeenix? Pretty please?

Best I’ve seen from square

I’m really surprised this port turned out so well. Not a single issue and the menu interface is actually REALLY good and organized. Overall of course, VP is a very incredible game and so is the 2nd, especially for the challenge you get for it. A must get for people who haven’t played it. Also, the game feels smoother in some odd way than the other versions but I’m not sure why haha.
