Finest Wikipedia app for iPhone.

bromoab

I have used many Wikipedia apps on the iPhone including Articles, Wikipedia, Wikiwand and Wikipanion. After 15 minutes V for Wikipedia became of my go to Wikipedia app. Not only did it solve the problems of Wikipedia on small screens such as long lines and table views, it's design makes it very easy to read. Not only that but the application is fast and simple to use. One of the very best apps I've encountered on the iPhone.

Please Add Categories!

This app is undisputedly the best iOS app for reading Wikipedia, but I am bummed that this app does not include access to the categories under which articles are listed—a feature that, if added, would make this terrific app perfect (and worthy of five stars).

Home screen fixture; writer’s pal; used daily

I truly appreciate the comfortable reading form: just like I use on my blog. Rates front screen on both my iPad and my iPhone. I use it daily, if not for a question then just to browse. I really appreciate the history trail. Just two ??impossible?? wishes: (1) When I’m in a browser search and take a Wikipedia link, I’d like it to go to V for Wikipedia. (2) I’d somehow like to have the function of the arrow at the TOP of the screen take the reader back to the previous article. (Sometimes—even often—I read an article in V that links to another which links to another and on, and on. The arrow at top, of course, returns to Search History. (And I can lose my train of thought.) The arrow at BOTTOM serves the need I’m describing. But I’d like it at the TOP...it’d feel more “natural”. I don’t know how this’d be arranged, though. It’s a hard life.

Motion ...

Nice but please consider an option to turn off the motion of the UI. The dual-scrolling columns gives me motion sickness. Otherwise very nice app.

Best Wikipedia app ever made

I once thought I would never find a suitable replacement for the once-great Wikipedia reader Articles, with the same polish and attention to detail, but then I found V for Wiki. It not only matched but exceeded my expectations. Reading Wikipedia with V for Wiki feels like reading a finely typeset book. It’s not just that it looks nice. It makes the whole experience easier and more enjoyable and doesn’t get in the way of the content. This app deserves ten stars. I don’t write app reviews often, but this app inspired me to do so.

Awsome

jesusmbaez

The best Wikipedia app on the Appstore. Love the UI. I've gotten lost on Wikipedia readings about random things because of this app.

Love it

GoryComet

I love it I just wish you could use your wiki login to save articles or have articles bookmarked sync between iOS devices. And offline viewing but great app great value.

A Pleasure

It’s simple. Wikipedia often has useful and accurate information and this app gives me pleasure reading it. Excellent design sense. This is what Apple wrought.
