Extremely fast! Seems to do everything well for all things Wikipedia.

Great App

Great place to read Wikipedia articles when you’re reading something on Wikipedia.

unusable on iPad Pro

Looks like it could be nice... but the text cannot be made a reasonable size (it’s WAY too big), and the text only uses a narrow column in the center of the screen. Looks like it was made for a phone and then they added margins....

Very attractive but…

It really is a beautiful app for reading articles, but some basic limitations make it a no go for me, like: - Can’t play pronunciation files natively. - Doesn’t sync bookmarks across devices. - Doesn’t have a decent treatment for the main page with article of the day and news items. - location search does this weird thing of linking to items north of you so it can display its admittedly beautiful way of linking location to scrollable list of image cards linked to the corresponding article.

The best reader for Wikipedia

Kadrey

I’d pay for it a second time if I could. It’s terrific.

Very fast, very native reader

JimmyCarter

Unlike native Wikipedia, it has viewing formatting options, and will even respect your system’s dark mode

There weren’t that many recent reviews for the app so I wasn’t sure if this app was still being update, but I looked at the update listing in the app description & the last was a month ago (2/2021) so I felt comfortable that at least it was still being updated. I wasn’t sure about taking the plunge b/c I really needed an app that would work in Landscape orientation. It frustrates me to no end developers who produce apps without a true iPad app or without support for landscape orientation - with a 12” iPad Pro, using it in portrait mode is just supremely unwieldy. But rest assured - this app DOES have a landscape mode and it works great! It’s a very nice app. Easy to use interface. Love the dark mode and that you can change the fonts easily very the button at the bottom of an article. I’m pretty use to reading the very standard layout in the regular browser version of Wikipedia so it did take my eyes a bit to adjust to the more visually interesting layout. I actually find it easier to more quickly skim through Wikipedia articles in Safari, however, if you’re looking for more of a pleasant, recreational reading experience that makes Wikipedia visual interesting, this app definitely beats the native interface hands down. It’s very nice to look at. That being said, if you’re used to skimming quickly just for info purposes, this may slow you down until you get used to this interface. I think I’ll probably keep using it anyways b/c it just has such a nice and “luxury” feel to the app, and it doesn’t really add pleasure to the reading experience. I do also, like others said, really like the GPS feature to find articles on locales near you. I’ve only lived in my area for a few years and there’s still tons I’m discovering so this is a very handy feature.
