“The Formula” has a sound bug

Michael of Atlanta

There are bad issues with language and sounds not playing in the formula. No spoiler...but if it doesn’t work with your phone, pause and go to bgg, It will be human speech

Gr8

Squidward The Brave

Worked just fine for me, the design was a bit chunky yet I found every scenario and played them all, was a bit scarred when downloading because of reviews yet it worked just fine, nautilus traps was on it btw

More like mistake room

Bowie Lover

The tutorial makes you vastly underestimate the complexity of the game. Be prepared for a terrible evening. Half of the key essential mechanisms for the app and the game are not explained. I wish I could have my game night back and play something more worthwhile.

Sound doesn't work

JWelch02

We all tried downloading this app when the sound failed us. Without the sound feature working you are unable to hear the final clues. Great, up until the end. Bummer!

Fun game

CricketKiller1992

Just got this card game as a present, and tried the tutorial and first adventure! We had a good time, and laughs at our silly mistakes, we must say it was a great evening. The cards are well made, sturdy, with fun descriptions and beautiful illustrations. It's an interesting combination of a real game board (or card game), and a companion app. The only "problem" I find it's that as scape room games are you play once and it's done, it's not as fun the second time around, but that's the nature of these types of games, nothing wrong in particular with this one. I was thinking of lending the cards out so others can try this game too, that way there'll be more demand for these games, I don't think many people know of this cards/apps puzzle games.

New and fun idea- needs some finesse

Greywells

Our family of three (2 adults, one 10 yr old) had a lot of fun playing this game. It’s a great idea, but needs some smoothing out. It was far fetched to figure out a few of the clues/ cards (like the colored vials in “Formula”). The penalties were pretty harsh as well! All in all, we did enjoy puzzling through it and had a blast! Now that we know how to interact with the game, we may not need to pause to figure out how to use cards in different version quite as much.

Keypad Issue

There comes a time when you need to enter a code into the app to unlock things. When you choose the Unlock icon, it asks you to enter a code, but does not give you a keypad on the screen to do so. Played for 5 minutes before running into this, which effectively stops the game unless you just ask for clues the whole time.

Game was not finishable

BlueCheese4567

Our game was missing three cards so we weren't able to finish and because of the design, we can't exactly play through it again.

Issues with Nautilus’ Traps

Asgannen

Have played through the first 4 scenarios without any issues from the app until Nautilus’ Traps. The sonar puzzle would not take the correct answer multiple times, stripping minutes away and leaving us scrambling to figure out where we were going wrong. Finally we were forced to have the Hint just tell us the answer, which was exactly what I’d been inputting the whole time. After receiving the hint, the answer took. Not cool. There was also an issue where we needed to grab a card but the card number was blocked by the octopus icon so we didn’t know what the necessary card was to continue out adventure. Super helpful. While I may have criticism with the game design itself, any reviews should only regard the app itself. This is a great (necessary) companion app, and we like the actual machine usage built in to the app with the latest scenarios. Do more of that in the future. More machines, more app interaction beyond code input.

Missing published games

leetrout

Avoid this game and series. The app doesn't have all the unlock games. The nautilus traps aren't even in the app. Major disappointment and waste of $15 for the board game.
