Good for fun, not profit

Well, I enjoy uploading to contests and interacting with other photographers but everything seems a little off. I think your gonna have a hard time making any money unless you have thousands of photos on the site. The contests seem a little rigged, photos that are obviously just iPhone pics without much effort have won. If you got the chops and want to make money, I suggest uploading to shutterstock or another more reputable site. But if your just doing the hobby thing, you’ll probably enjoy the app.

Easy for someone to take a screen shot of your pics, so why would they buy them? Don't put anything out there you don't mind sharing with the world. Voting is not transparent- they apply some sort of algorithm I was told which can take you out of winning honors even when you have the votes. The same photographers always start out at the top and win honors regardless of photo. Some sort of insiders club? Also I’ve found NO advantage to paying for premium status.

So I downloaded this and realized something... you can just screenshot the picture and crop it and bam no paying. So how am I supposed to make money if 1/2 the people do just that?

I found my pictures posted on another Twenty20 affiliates website, and they were being given out for anyone to use at no cost. I reached out several times to both companies and no one replied.

Sold 5 photos in November and instead of making $10 at the $2 per photo I made $2. So much for payment staying around the same rate as before like the information says. :(

i don’t make a ton of money on twenty20 to begin with, but now with subscriber share, i made half as much. and that’s only because they felt bad i didn’t make as much and emailed me saying they’re adjusting it by adding $10 this one time. basically i wasn’t making a ton but now will make even less. and this was after i signed up as a verified user for $1/month hoping it would increase sales, but I think it’s just not for me anymore. the app itself was always good and easy to use, it’s just not super worth it anymore.

Their new pay out calculations which they claim to be more fair are totally ridiculous. They are barely paying pennies on the dollar. Keep your pictures and use other sites to sell your work, this used to be such a great app.

The idea of this app is wonderful, however you never get paid for your photography. The app asks for your PayPal email but never requests the other requirements to link to your PayPal. I have $20 worth of people downloading and using my photos and I’ve never been paid by Twenty20. I have emailed for help countless times in the last 6 months and not one email back. I’m assuming they just keep the money and no one actually gets paid, meanwhile people are using my work for free, very upsetting. I highly recommend not wasting your time with this app, it’s a scam!
