The Mappen app is so easy to use to make plans with your friends! You just see where they are and call them up to hang. It’s almost like the Snapchat friends map to see where they are, but if you’re not a Snapchat fan like me, then this is the app for you!

I love this app! It’s great for making plans and knowing what your friends are up to. I use it to keep tabs on my family when I don’t know where they are ?. This app is super cool and innovative and I can’t wait to see what’s next from Mappen.

• Step by step, how to avoid a bad app. -Moved from California to Ohio -have no friends here -oh look notifications from my crazy ex inviting me to mappen. -it doesn't take an idiot to realize that any app that constantly tracks your location and your "friends" location will kill off your phones battery in 45 minutes. -People wonder why all the cool teenagers are walking around with 5 lbs. Battery packs in their pockets. -Not going to Install. -Never going to install. -type "STOP" to unsubcribe from text invites. -profit. Does anyone else realize, this is the new pokemon GO? People add you, instantly know your location and can profit from that? I'ma grab some popcorn and watch the pedophilia unfold before my eyes.

Let me start off by saying that I think the idea is great and is very helpful is certain situations, that said if anyone adds me on Mappen the app automatically gives them my phone number as well as address, that to me is quite unsettling. Also if I don’t want to use the app anymore there is no way to delete my account. You also cannot block someone unless they add you first, and find out you address and phone number. I do like the ideas of having your friends/parents know that you arrived home safe, how ever it can do that without disclosing my address.

In this day and age, we don’t need another pointless app bombarding us with trivial notifications, junk messages and what is essentially a tracking device for unwanted eyes disguised as a fun and social platform. It’s pointless, unnecessary, obnoxious and borders on an invasion of privacy.
