This app is seemingly a wonderful idea, and looks well made. Despite this, it has a major inconvenience due to the fact that it SENDS A MESSAGE TO ALL OF YOUR CONTACTS ONCE YOU MAKE AN ACCOUNT. This is not only embarrassing to the person supposedly sending the message but unprofessional of the app. It is convenient to be able to send invites to who you want, but that should be OPTIONAL. I received one of these texts saying multiple of my friends invited me to join the app. I downloaded simply to see what it was, but later found that more people from my contacts had been sent the same message without me authorizing it. It was embarrassing to me and it is a terrible awy to try and expand an app such as this. I do not recommend even downloading this app, and I especially do not recommend creating an account.

I like the app so far but I don’t want people to know where I live. When I got the app 5 minutes ago, I could see where all my friends live. It’s kind of creepy.
Too Many Texts

I also kept getting a bunch of unnecessary texts from everyone who friended me or tagged me in anything, and it was always a different phone number sending the text so I ended up with a million different text streams. I ended up deleting the app because it was too much of a pain. The idea of the app is great, I just think you should have a choice or some sort of setting that allows you to control the number of texts and who the texts go out to. And after I ended up deleting the app I still got texts from people who were adding me. So there is basically no way to stop the texts, which I personally find very annoying. Please fix this issue Mappen!

I honk this app is terrible because if people don’t have the app you can still add ur location. It is uncomfortable to know that people can add me and always know my location. That is very unsettling for me and I would like this app to be taken down. I am very uncomfortable knowing that people can track my location even if I don’t have the app

Great app except that while I’m on the app it starts sending invites to some of my contacts without my permission I had to block everyone I didn’t want to have as friends on the app. Please fix that problem!

It’s weird I got a text saying someone invited me and a link but I don’t know who it is and I’ve never made an account before.

I don’t really understand what this is for. Also when I signed up it said that one of my friends was on it but I was pretty sure he wouldn’t be the type to use it so I asked him and he said he had never even heard of it so I don’t know what that’s about. Also the inability to not import all my contacts was kind of annoying.

One star because I don’t know, and there’s no way of knowing, who in my contacts already uses the app. I’m not sending text invites to people before I actually know I’m going to use the app. Deleting.
